Topic: Mother 3

So after watching the Nintendo Digital Event yesterday, I'm totally expecting an announcement of Mother 3 on the VC any day. Reggie fries the guy that asks for it, but that same guy also asks for Star Fox, and look what we had announced yesterday!

I'm kind of expecting this too. I don't think they'd name drop stuff that they didn't have plans for. It's the same reason I think we're going to see Metroid soon. He wore the Metroid badge on the VGX while reminding everyone Retro has more than one team, so while one group is making DK, the other could be making something else...

Mother 3 is coming to the west?
I wonder if they'd translate it or if they used the fan translation (as the main guy responsible said he was willing to give Nintendo legal permission to reuse it if they wanted).

It wasn't announced or anything, but I just feel like Nintendo wouldn't make it the butt of a joke and not have something planned.

I'd rather have earlier FE games make it over. Esp. the GBA ones.

It just seems a little odd to make mention of it. Is this the first time Nintendo has mentioned this publicly?

I absolutely agree with this. It was very cool of them to poke fun at themselves in that way to open the show. But at the same time it was very out of character. If they had no intentions of bringing it to the west then they would keep pretending it doesn't exist.

If they don't release this, I'll get a ROM. Your choice Nintendo.

I've already played it, but I'd buy the official Western release to show my appreciation for its release. Besides, it's been a few years.

I'd still buy an official release, no doubt. It's a question of whether Nintendo wants my money.

I'm assuming it will come to Wii U considering the GBA VC on it. I'd much rather it on 3DS though, for the sake of portability. ( And I've always preferred RPGs on handheld anyways. )

I think it's very likely. Like Peach said, the name dropping of Mother 3 in the intro feels very, very deliberate.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, but I think it's more possible now that they made a joke at e3 of all places. Not the first time it was teased though just for fun.
