Topic: More Wii Games?

Any chance of hearing any more Wii games hitting the Virtual Console at E3?

You'd think if Nintendo wanted to make an easy couple of million they'd put FE: Radiant Dawn, Xenoblade, Dokapon Kingdom, etc. all on the eShop

She was like a candle in the wind... Unreliable.

I can see that happening.

Probably. I wonder if WiiWare will get similar treatment

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

They are allergic to easy money though. Also i am not expecting them to boast about putting more wii games on the service at E3. Certainly the E3 event will be filled with announcements for newer games.

Well they could do something like, "Xenoblade Chronicles X is coming out September 1st 2015 but you can download Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii now" (probably won't happen with that game but still)

Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii is now available on the Wii U eShop. Purchase it within 3 months or whatever to then receive 20% off Xenoblade Chronicles X or whatnot.

It probably won't happen now(due to the New3DS version), but maybe around TGS or XCX launch.

I'm expecting 3-5 new Wii games coming to Wii U VC at E3.

The problem is that Nintendo like to stagger quality releases so that they still have quality games left to release in the future. Unfortunately, this tends to mean that by the time Nintendo moves on from supporting the service (Wii VC and 3DS VC for example), there are still quality games that have yet to be released.

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

There' a copy of Fire Emblem at the Gamestop near where I work. Loved the Gamecube and 3DS games but I'm not paying $60 for a pre-owned copy of the Wii version

I'm still thinking some kind of deluxe "GC+Wii" Fire Emblem putting the re-mastered Path of Radience (with pointer/touch controls and widescreen) + Radiant Dawn together for Wii U would make more sense to me since it's one big story. I played Radiant Dawn without having played Path of Radiance, but the idea of one massive epic has obvious appeal.

And given we're seeing previously-unannounced Wii games getting released, I'd be very surprised if there weren't further announcements. The Rhythm Beat game that closed out the Wii era, Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story seem likely. I'd be very surprised if the New Play Control versions of the first two Pikmin games didn't show up since they seem to like putting all versions of popular franchises in there. Add New Super Mario Bros Wii for the same reason.

If they released that Fire Emblem bundle I'll snap it up in an instant! If they release them (or at least the wii version) for the VC, that works for me too.
I'm sure they've already released Last Story in US or JPN, or at least they have announced that it will be released soon. Localisation should follow. Xenoblade is unlikely due to the 3DS port. Pikmin too is unlikely since it's already been remastered from the GC to the Wii.

Personally, I'd still like to see the original Mario Galaxy to be localized. NSMB is an unimaginative option but I'll probably buy it anyway. I'd love to get SSB:Brawl for the SSE, TLoZ: Skyward Sword would be my options. TLoZ: Twilight Princess too but that seems unlikely for the same reason Pikmin is unlikely.

What we REALLY need are GC games!!!

The only Wii games they should add are the ones that are OOP and hard to find, like Xenoblade and The Last Story. But Mario games and whatnot? Nah.

I'd rather see NoA express some interest in releasing the 1st party GBA games that Europe already has.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

While I would double-dip for a Xenoblade Chronicles I could play on the Wii U Gamepad, I don't think it'd be a good idea to have on the eShop before the launch of XCX. I'd expect XC to eat away the launch week sales of XCX rather than boost them, and if XCX doesn't get praising reviews in the western press, it'd be even worse.

That is why i think XC should be on the eShop several months before XCX, rather than eating away sales, it would improve sales since more people would be exposed to the series before XCX comes out. But it probably won't happen since XC is on New 3DS. Maybe after XCX would work, maybe for next E3 presentation.

Not everyone who has a Wii U has a 3DS and vice-versa. I'd agree about not bringing easy to find games, but I think they're already demonstrating a will to do that. And just because Pikmin got a re-release on the Wii doesn't mean that same re-release couldn't be a Wii VC game. It's not like they're doing anything extra to them.

We'll probably get some form of eShop reel during the Digital Event, with indies and Virtual Console (more Wii games).

I will update this when Half Life 3 arrives. [Started 17/11/2015]

I'm hoping to see the party games released like Wii Play Motion, Wii Sports Resort, Beat the Beat and even Wii Play. Ideally the Wii titles would get some kind of facelift, but failing that they might be nice budget titles to have,

Of course I'm still hoping for both the New Play Control Pikmin games, Super Mario Galaxy, a localised NPC version of Chibi Robo (but an HD remake would be even more awesome) and both Zelda games. Of these I think Zelda and SMG are pretty sure bets, but having the entire Pikmin trilogy in the eshop seems like a no-brainer - especially given how expensive NPC Pikmin 2 is. You'd also think they'd want to hype a new Chibi Robo game by releasing the first one. Still don't get why the NPC version never saw the light of day outside of Japan.

I'd love to see New Player Control Chibi Robo finally make it out in North America. Enjoyed the GameCube original and would like a widescreen option to revisit it with.

What I'd really like to see though is the Fatal Frame 2 remake that Europe got, which is already translated into English. It even runs at 60hz and is fully NTSC ready as a result. About the only thing they'd have to do, if that much, is edit the title screen to change it from Project Zero to Fatal Frame instead. Heck, even that isn't really a necessity.

And if we're really dreaming, finally officially translate Fatal Frame 4 and bring it to the Wii U eShop.

@DefHalan You were pretty much spot-on with the Xenoblade prediction. And now that I've sunk in XB 60 hours more after its eShop release, I'm definitely considering preordering Xenoblade Chronicles X.

I admit to having been wrong. And I'm pretty happy that I was

Rule #2: If DefHalan is ever wrong, refer back to Rule #1.
