What were the best mega mans for GBA?

Mega Man was all over the GBA.

There were the Mega Man Zero action platformers, Mega Man & Bass had it's first western release with the GBA release, and then there were the Battle Network RPG games which has a size-able fanbase off its own.

In my opinion, the Mega Man Zero games are the best ones.

I only played Megaman and Bass. I'm not sure if I just sucked at it but it was easily the most difficult of the old Megaman games from what I played.

From what I have heard alot of people consider that one to be the hardest of the old school Mega Man games.

You're not alone. That game is ridiculously hard, and I've beaten all the classic games.

I recall one problem with MM&B that really bugged me is that Bass can only dash by double-tapping the D-pad. Why can't Down+A be used to make it easier to enter?
(I thought the Super Famicom original didn't let you one-button dash, either, but I might be wrong on that. Maybe it did let you dash with A like the X games.)

mega man zero is sweet, better than x in some ways, not quite as good in others. it had cool weapons like swords and a pike thing, and you could switch between two types very easily in game, not to mention they were upgradeable and got new skills etc. if you are lucky you can find mega man zero collection for ds that has all of them in it. im starting to regret selling it now that im talking about it though lol.

i think there was also different difficulty levels, as well you would get rankings at the end of each level. and then there were the fairy elf things you could find that were like the upgrades and e tanks, as well as giving you other power ups.

I never played MegaMan & Bass, so I can't say much about that.
The Zero games really weren't my thing, mostly because of how unfair some stages were when aiming for the best ranking.
But the Battle Network games were awesome in my opinion. The plot was fairly interesting, the combat was loads of fun and even had a lot of strategic value, the visuals were really cool (I love most of the .EXE redesigns of old characters and bosses), and each game had a vast amount of content - at least when taking optional stuff into account.

Mega Man Zero 1-4 are the best ones on the GBA. They're all must play titles if you're a Mega Man fan.

Didn't they release a Mega Man Zero Collection on DS a few years ago?

Yep. They bundled all 4 Zero games and released it on the DS.
