Kirby And The Amazing Mirror for the (GBA) releases on the Wii U eshop tomorrow! Any posts related to the game, except if it's on-topic in another thread should be posted here.
I'll definitely download this tomorrow and it will be my first time playing the game.
I've heard that people don't generally like the game because of its open massive HUB based world, but in all honesty that concept actually has me more interested in this game!

Um...I love the open world too, but the cpu controlled allies are awful when you need them to solve a puzzle

I'll admit that actually has me a bit concerned myself, especially since there won't be any drop-in multiplayer like there was in the original GBA version of the game.

Um...it is so hard without friends helping you when you need more than one character to progress

I just 100%ed it today and I didn't have that much trouble
Thanks for letting me know, btw I like your Darkwing Duck avatar! You're certainly the terror that flaps in the night for people who break forum rules.
KATAM is a better game than I remembered (3DS AMBASSADOR!!!!) but it doesn't work well as a Metroidvania. I think it's the level design, in particular the parts that are more like multiple paths in an otherwise linear game. They don't fit together well.
I think the game is still better Than Kirby's Dreamland 3 (SNES) it's not as good as your average Kirby game, but it certainly isn't bad, nor is it the worst Kirby game imo.
I played this first through the ambassador program. A note, if you have trouble with the map, the doors leading up, down, left, right, etc. are usually on the respective parts of the map (e.g. top, bottom, left, right)
It'll take longer then that for first-time players believe me. I'm past 8 and a half hours myself and I've only colected 5 mirror shards. It's very easy to get lost in Kirby And The Amazing Mirror, but it doesn't make the game any less enjoyable.
The Smash ability is too difficult to obtain and even harder to hang on to long enough to use in the areas that are blocked by those wooden stakes. I think only Master Hand has the ability and he's a rare sub-boss that is far away from the paths that require the Smash ability to be accessed.
