Because they said the ”trial” games were the only ones to be released over that period time??? Please remind if that is what they said because I honestly don't remember.

The official launch is in April and the seven titles are promotionally priced due to the 30th anniversary of the Famicom in July. The latter is no basis for drawing conclusions on what the VC will look like on the April launch day.

Yes i agree the balloon fight emulation is P*** poor .. yes it does look blurry. the quality is better on my Wii VC of the game ,

TBH the VC needs some way more support from 3rd parties, it's ridiculous to think that it's now down to just Sega, Nintendo, and SNK to release games for the eshop.
I can understand that the WiiU could have the Gamecube as another console, along with the possability of others in the future to draw from. But, considering that the N64, Master System, and arcade have barely been touched. it seems pointless to add another console to the list when what is there already has been struggling for a long time now.
I'm hoping Nintendo would also draw attention to the eshop as a whole with some advertising in the future, but nowing them, I doubt it very much.
With the way the VC was treated after WiiWare came out, I am not suprised if people are worried about it and it's future, simply because it'll be another dissapointment if something isn't done.

Well slap my butt and call me Sally but I am optimistic about the Wii U Virtual Console personally. If Nintendo didn't care all that much I don't think they would create a big deal promotion like Wii U Virtual Console Trial Campaign and highlight it on the main Nintendo Wii U page. Selling games for .30 cents is not worth it to just do something for the heck of it. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go find me some leather chaps. YEEHAW!

Even if he already owns Super Metroid he'd be paying 30 cents to get it on Wii U. Technically he'd still have both versions.

Yes. It will be more expensive for him if he buys the Wii U version outside of the promo. There's no free lunch for people who own the Wii version.

Nor should you. When the Wii VC started, Nintendo was pumping out games after games weekly (or maybe my mind is blurred) but when WiiWare hit what happened? It slowed until finally it stopped. Nintendo publicly announced "Okay WiiWare is murdering the Virtual Console in sales so that will be slow".

The 3DS? We had expected some faster pickup, we didn't get crap. Super Mario Bros seems to have sold well as well as Zelda, but the obscure games that you don't already have 4 or 5 copies of? They aren't selling.

Obviously, money comes first, and VC isn't giving. That at least explains third-party games, but first-party games? I just say that's prudishness towards downloads as a whole.
