Topic: How long do I have to retreive my download?

I bought super mario kart from club nintendo. I went to the Wii Shop on my Wii U to download the game, but I need a Wii remote to enter the shop. I currently do not have a Wii Remote. Super Mario Kart is avaiable until January 19th, but I already purchased it. So what would happen if I purchased it but don't download it before that date?
