One reason why is because the wii u pro or tablet or classic controller do not have analog triggers which reads pressure on buttons
Their important becsuse for an example mario sunshine you hit R and if you it light then he barely shoots but if you hit it hard he shoots a lot of water

Unless nintendo creates a new controller called the retro controller but thats not likely

Haven't you created multiple topics on Gamecube already?

Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.

It wasn't used that much anyways, I'm pretty sure that won't stop them from releasing some games.

Wait... Doesn't the Wii U Pro controller have those fancy shmamcy pressure triggers too? And don't they have similar geometry to a GameCube controller? Also you might want to look into alternate control schemes. With Nintendo being crazy generous with the button mapping and with examples like twilight princess and the metroid prime trilogy it certainly isn't out of the question. You shouldn't be so narrow minded. Nintendo has a way of getting things done. Don't worry about it. Besides the pressuring can be mapped to the FOUR shoulder buttons for a low and high pressuring.

I think GCN will eventually show up, but probably not until the major update they're working on. That's when GBA and N64 are supposed to first appear.
They already stated interest in making GCN game available, and there are ways they could sort out the analog triggers, I'm sure.
They could just map analog triggers to the joystick.
Perhaps it might be annoying to some, but they could make it so you switch between the camera and water pressure from F.L.U.D.D. by clicking the joystick and using the analog sticks to aim.
They could map it to the touch screen if they have to. They could allow people to use the Wii remote and nunchuck...
Basically, they aren't limited in control options. The only parts on the controller that are analog are the joysticks, so that gives some insight to how they could implement it.

I can see GC games that used the analogue triggers using alternate control schemes for a VC release on Wii U. Take Super Mario Sunshine for example. Since Z wasn't a very important button (It let you see the map of Isle Delfino. Helpful, but doesn't need to be immediately accessible), Z could be moved to Select, R can be used to spray and walk, and ZR can be used to spray in place. Not as intuitive as the original GC release, but it would work well enough as a workaround.

Other than Sunshine how many games used it enough to really matter? Heck, they could just remake Sunshine like Wind Waker to change that aspect for all we know.

It isn't in other games like Super Monkey Ball, Viewtiful Joe, or Thousand Year Door.

Honestly I would love Nintendo to make an adapter so that way I can use my Wavebird on the Wii U.

So? Listen if I wanted to play a flipping racing game I would go out and get a PlayStation 3/4. Nobody really cares about racing games that much.

i thought the wii u pro controller has analog shoulder triggers like the Gamecube Controller? No??

Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, F-Zero GX, Wave Race Blue Storm, ... they must be borderline unplayable on Wii U without their analog shoulder buttons..

All Gamecube games with L/R analog functionality should never be released on Wii U with the current controllers. Not for money at least.
But maybe Nintendo does it anyway. Ppl out there want those games, they don't care about the supposedly broken/alternate controls.

I'm now glad to have a great original Gamecube collection. Same feeling when I was glad to have a great original N64 collection when Nintendo messed up N64 VC by stripping games of some of their features.

I wouldn't be so upset if Wii U never gets GameCube on VC. It was only last generation that we could play GameCube games (Wii) and most were easily obtainable. Most Metroid fans could have gotten the trilogy on Wii and Wind Waker is the only one that I found too expensive to buy on ebay, but the HD edition solves that. Now N64 games on the other hand, are pretty hard to get a hold of so I'd like more emphasis on bringing some of those classics to Wii U.

It's Wario time Yaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

The classic controller has analog triggers but the classic controller pro and wii u controllers doesn´t.

I think there will be Gamecube games on VC eventually. In truth, it should be a no brainer in this day and age.
