The original Mother is being released on Wii U VC and for the first time in the west as "Earthbound Beginnings" Shigesato Itoi just announced.

I've never played earthbound, but I'm totally getting this one.

Preferably on the 3DS. Will it release on both VCs? nope, bummer.

Yeah, Mother 1 wasn't great, or even good. But I'm a sucker, so I'll buy it and play it. I already bought the fan translation of Mother 3 so I'm good on that. Personally, I'm hoping for a full on remake of Mother 3 for the 3DS. That would be swell, even if it was kinda perfect as is.

I thought the game wasn't even finished...or cancelled or something over there. But anyways it is the first game, so it's not going to be as great as it was on Earthbound.
