Topic: Donkey Kong in the US (wii u vc and wii release)

Any word on Nintendo releasing Donkey Kong Country Returns [Wii] in the US? If they do, do you think they will finally release the SNES trilogy of games at the same time?

Looking at the list of EU, Japan and the US it's really disappointing what doesn't get released between regions.

I want the trilogy to be released

Sadly, nothing yet. It's really frustrating. The original DKC is one of my favorite trilogies of all time, and I no longer have my SNES to play them.

I'd complain about the lack of DKCR for Wii on the e-Shop, too, but I have it on my 3DS and I'm not double dipping without proper control options, so there's that.

One of the best trilogies ever made, they still are awesome games with wonderful graphics and soundtrack. And they are a lot of fun. I hope it is released (again) in US for you guys to enjoy.

I don't know why we don't have it. If it got released in the UK we should be able to get it here, I want to relive DKC2 and DKC3 and try out the donkey kong land games.

I keep waiting for it each week and think this could be the week.

I know its not this week. I mean each week I keep hoping that this will be the week. I have been wishing that since I heard it was out in the UK.

Could there still be a rights issue in NA? I can't think of any other logical reason

All Donkey Kong games rights were transferred to Nintendo during the trial Nintendo-Microsoft. The only reason for these games not being available in America is that Nintendo doesn't want to.

I honestly can't imagine why that would be the case, since Rare is a European company, not American.

If there were a rights issue, Europe wouldn't have gotten it either.

Its very strange these are not released, mind you, EU still does not have MK Super Circuit, or SM advance 1 & 2

So much for finally beating those hard-as-nails final bonus levels of Captain Toad: Treasure tracker this weekend. Maybe the one after.

I bought all three for the wii u, breath of fire for wii u and the three for 3ds....I never have bought 7 vc games in one day before. very happy to have these.

I have the GBA ports, and I have the Wii version of the original. Wait. I was gonna ask if its worth upgrading to the Wii U version, but that just means I'd have to pay $1.50. Imma be right back!

Yep, DKC2 is still one of the best games ever.

Donkey Kong Country is still pretty fun. And a bit hard right from the onset. But I didn't game over on the first world! That's a plus.
