Oh that's cool! I've never been able to finish them before because of the whole backlight thing too

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)

This is fantastic news! I've been looking to pick up a SNES again recently to replay DKC 1&2. They're up there with the best games I've ever played.

Now NA just waits.

Cannot wait! DKC was one of my top 3 childhood games. So excited to replay it

Oh good, that means NA will get them in 2016.

I really hope NA gets them soon

I'm surprised no one is commenting on the 33% off deal for Returns & Tropical Freeze, it's a shame I have both already.

Is this emulation done by M2 like the GBA VC titles, with the smooth filtering and what not?

Probably not. I don't think Nintendo would start adding that feature into systems that have already come out on VC.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

While the GBA conversions of the first two aren't worth bothering with, I hope Nintendo rolls out the GBA conversion of Donkey Kong Country 3 eventually. Would be worth double dipping for that new soundtrack from the composer of the original two games, whom they enlisted when they encountered issues converting the original music to the GBA.

Nothing wrong with the original soundtrack, but this one sounds great, too. Pushes the GBA in the audio department further than any other game I ever played.

Don't forget that it also has a bonus world. The GBA version of DKC3 is actually my favorite version of that game.

Here's hoping NA gets DKC1 this week with Europe.

Doubtful. They already announced the VC games for this week and next week. Slim chance they'd add this to the NA shop

I feel like these will come to NA in November because it is DKC's 20th anniversary

I actually just bought the DKC Advance Trilogy for my SNES GBA cartridge modification........,so I'll be playing them with the SNES controller on the big screen, I always hear people complaining about the GBA ports, but all of the extras have always intrigued me....,,,DKC 3, while agreeing that the level design is weak in spots, is probably my favorite title thematically.

Well I would get them but since Nintendo removed them from the Wii last year I want ahead and got them another way.
