Solomon's Key is playable. Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness is not. It's not even a matter of aging. Its camera, controls, and gameplay structure was unacceptable when it came out, especially when Ocarina of Time, Mega Man Legends, and Konami's own Mystic Ninja Starring Goemon came before it.

But I guess that didn't stop Konami from releasing Dracula X while completely ignoring the good games in their back catalogue, so yeah, it could happen. It's just that I dread the day that game comes out while Mega Man 64, Goemon, and Bomberman 64 still go unreleased.

People said similar negative things about Mega Man Legends (Mega Man 64) when it first came out, I remember I was the only "weirdo" in the school who liked Mega Man Legends 1 & 2 and the Missadventures of Tron Bonne when they were released. Thanks to that i was able to get those games at a ridiculous cheap price back then (and I mean truly ridiculous about 3 dollars for each one). Despite all the slam and bad press personally I thought they were quite nice fun games (even with their flaws) in a similar way of my personal thoughts regarding Castlevania Legacy Of Darkness. Kenji Inafune said once that among its favorite games was Mega Man Legends despite it didn't sell well in the Mega Man Franchise.

It would have been great to have Mega Man Legends 2 and the Missadventures of Tron Bonne on N64 but Capcom never released it (I guess I have to replay them on PSP). Personally I liked a lot Mega Man Legends 2 and I thought it was a really fun game back then. Shame on Capcom for cancelling Mega Man Legends 3 on 3DS.

And they were wrong about Mega Man Legends. They were right about Castlevania, though. I don't know when you last played it, but my experience with it was just last year. It was terrible, frustrating for all the wrong reasons. And to think, Castlevania 64 was worse...I'm not sure I ever want to experience that...

Nah both they were wrong in both cases, still to these days there are some hardcore haters of Mega Man Legends (similar to the case of Castlevania LoD and C64). Mega man Legends also has camera, control and gameplay issues which some fanboys cannot forget even to these days.

Personally I don't care either way even with the flaws and issues I think the Mega Man Legends games and the Castlevania games on N64 are great once you overcome the flaws and get used to the gameplay structure. The rest whether you like them or not even to these days are based on personal preferences.

I last played Castlevania Legacy of Darkness in OUYA a a couple of months ago and it looked and played better in my 50' HDTV than some PSX games running in the respective OUYA emulator.

I really loved this game. ( I am talking about the first one ) the second one was more and upgrade and add-on to the story as you can also play the original game story after completing the game ( or is that before )???

I love about the original game is the whole violin thing. I will never forget that chase in the garden with wind-up Frankenstein. Even the final battle is more then worth it. The game was extremely realistic as well.

All the mini-bosses was worth it in the game as well. I wonder if the gba games stand up to the N64 games
