I'm looking at the extra content first, and here's something - Do North Americans get an accompanying booklet for the 25th Anniversary as pointless as the European one?

Basically, it's a tracklisting, a short paragraph from each VIP (Miyamoto, Kondo, Aonuma) translated into 12 different languages and a nice photo of who I assume is the production team arranged into a Triforce formation (Miyamoto's pose is epic!).

I probably could have done with getting a Standard Edition - hopefully, the CD will prove it a worthy purchase.

First off, lucky dog getting your copy already, I got another 3 days to wait before my gamestop starts handing them out. Second, no, I didn't, lol

Listening to the CD, there's a surprising amount packed in. 8 tracks, but 3 of them are medleys of 8 minutes, 10 minutes and 10 minutes.

I was also happy to get my first Wii Remote+, so I don't regret buying the special edition one bit.

The remote is beautiful - even if it's encased in the thick padding (which I can always remove!)

it looks gorgeous, I don't think I'll ever use another Wii Remote ever again, lol

When they say 1:1 it's only the movement of the sword. The slashes only go in 4 ways(Horizontally, Vertically and Diagonally) with the stab and 2 spin attack(Horizontally and Vertically). The sword controls beautifully and everything has been put together perfectly! The Golden Wii-Mote is cool with the royal family crest on it. Still got to listen to the CD but so far the game I would give it 100/100

I have two complaints about the game:
1) our guidance in the form of Fi character is annoying. It always kick in on it's own after every mayor step forward in the main story. I prefer to think by myself where generally go next and for example who to ask... In my opinion Fi should only give us guidance outside the cinematic AFTER we ask her to do so.

2) after 25 years we still cannot skip forward texts that have been already seen

Nevertheless excellent game!

My Skyward Sword didn't arrive today. Now I have to wait till Monday. ;( I just hate Finnish postal service they always seem to send my games day or two later than they should. I got an e-mail that the game has been sent on Wednesday, it should've arrived already.

@3DS The slashes go in eight directions, really — left to right, right to left etc. — which becomes more important as you go through.

I get the feeling part of the length of the game involves figuring out the patterns of each enemy.
Almost like every encounter is a small puzzle itself. Would I be correct in this assumption?
I just hope it's acurate and Link doesn't start doing moves I wasn't meaning to do.

I've heard a few complaints about Fi around the web. Does she start to shut up after the first dungeon or so?

Fi couldn't possibly be as bad as Navi.

She better not be telling me to press A everytime I approach a door or something obvious like that.

It's weird that I never had anything against Navi. I think most people make the Navi story a little bigger than it really is. Navi doesn't say those things all that often. At least what I've played OoT and OoT3D.

@Late: Agreed, I was never annoyed by her interruptions. On the other hand, she wouldn't let me figure out puzzles on my own, and for a character that you spend the entire game with, her personality is pretty flat.

Fi can't POSSIBLY be worse than Navi in OoT3D (she was even more annoying in the remake), everytime I paused the game, put it in sleep mode for 6 hours, and came back later she would tell me to take a break after playing for less than five seconds... >.>

Awesome. With a sidekick named Fi, I'll feel like Michael Westen in Burn Notice! Hope this Fi is as trigger happy and fun as Fiona, LOL (no, that's asking too much). I can give little narratives during cutscenes about being a "burned" adventurer stuck in Skyloft, LOL! Now, who's gonna be my Sam Axe? I'll find out in a couple of days, being American and stuff.

Oh, Fi vs. Navi, with the above, name-wise anyway, Fi wins. Since Navi now shares a name with James Cameron Smurfs!

Exactly. I've said it before, but one of the reasons Twilight Princess made for such an enjoyable game was Midna, the first sidekick character in a Zelda game that I actually wanted to talk to me, because her personality was entertaining and well-written.
