IGN gave the Skyward Sword a 10/10!!!

OMG! I've just received an email from the shop I ordered Zelda with, and apparently my order has already been despatched ahead of release date!

I had a feeling that might happen, but I didn't expect it this early.

If it's set for release day delivery, it'd probably take 3-4 days for it to arrive anyway. I'd expect you to get it either one day before release or on release day.

What makes me so excited for this game is the huge map and the fact that it is in the sky. Something about flying around to different places on a Loftwing is very appealing to me.

I prefer my nintendo games a bit darker, but hey it still looks really good.

Ordered off zavvi today, so hopefully it gets dispatched soon.

Then hopefully I can finish Uncharted before this arrives.

@ the metacritic argument
We got a remade and, according to the vast majority of peoples, better version of OoT only a few months ago. It got 94% on metacritic. Skyward Sword is currently on 95% so........ what that basically means is that people making metacritic arguments should calm down because they're both awesome games.

and Twilight Princess was also awesome, also 95%. Disagree? Play it again because you're wrong.

I think every now and then, people seem to forget that video games are made for entertainment, for you to have fun. If someone finds more joy in playing an older game, they can like that one more than some newer one, or even find it better because it's what they like and what they prefer. No matter how much "better" some newer game is. Like I said.

Nostalgia goggles or not, if someone think a game is better, then it's better to them, whether it is or not to all the reviewers/random-forum-arguing-peoples on earth.

You can't compare "facts" when saying which game is better to an individual either. Maybe they enjoy some archaic controls more than new, revolutionary whatever controls. And that's all that matters.

Who really cares what other people enjoy playing anyway? It's not like it should effect you in any way...

Okay so in France, street dates are for wusses : I've already got my Zelda ^^ 5 hours already went into it and I've finished the first dungeon. My thoughts ? FAN-TASTIC ! (Oh and I also got Mario 3D Land ahead of release, but that's not really on topic and it is amazing also)

Yay, Play has posted my copy! It probably won't get here until a few weeks have passed, but I don't mind. If I just get my gold Wii Remote, CD and of course the game in the mail before Christmas, I'll be pleased. I still have to beat Twilight Princess, anyway, and I want to do that before I start playing Skyward Sword.

Gamespot gave it 7.5. I seriously don't have a f*****g clue what they are thinking. They gave TP 8.8, so according to them, TP is better than SS. Also, in metacritic, TP= 9.5, SS= 9.4. And just because this one twisted opinion. Well, maybe i should just enjoy all the 10/10's SS got from ign, GI and others.

Famitsu gave it a 40/40 though =)

But yeah Gamespot are huge trolls, they've never been any good with Nintendo coverage anyway and their site is so annoying to use. I bet they just did it for the traffic. And the people who comment on their site are really annoying as well.

Again, _{and again, and again,} it's only an opinion. That's it. Just vecause it doesn't agree with yours, and let me remind you that you haven't even played the game, doesn't make it an invalid review-- yadda yadda yadda.

If Ign gave it a perfect 10 there's no reason to think skyward sword is anything but awesome.
Everyone knows it takes alot to impress those guys. Especially with Nintendo games.
