Zelda is the one who created the split. Link was just fine going back and forth using the Master Sword... but noo Zelda had to use her Ocarina... I would have went to the Master Sword myself...
Also I have a thought for you guys... what if inside the Pedestal of the Master Sword was a giant timeshift stone? Unlikely but...
That would be funny, but one why would it deactivate when the sword is pulled and two, if i remember correctly wasn't link just put to a deep sleep the first time he traveled in OoT?
Yeah it's 90% percent unlikely but imagine such an idea! A GIANT timeshift stone. Lol
Yeah he was put to sleep.
more like 100% unlikely, really, timeshift stones work completely different than the time travel in OoT, timeshift stones displace you into the past, without changing you physically, and the time shift is only in a certain area around the stone (since the entire world is changed, this doesn't seem to be the case), interesting thought though, just completely implausible
Nothing's ever 100%. Besides I just meant think of the idea. I know the Time shift Stones don't work like that.
It's sort of interesting to ponder, I admit, but I'd have to say that IS 100%, anyway, moving on...
commence discussion on the connections between Levias, the Wind Fish and (possibly) Jabu-Jabu/Jabun (I do consider those two to be the same creature due to the similar names and a few other factors which I will get into if challenged)
I definitely believe there to be SOME sort of connection between Levias and the Wind Fish, due to them both being winged whales who fly around the sky and have guardian roles, I personally don't feel a connection between them and Jabu-Jabu/Jabun, but I can understand someone making that parallel due to the whale thing and again, the guardian thing
A little SPOILER in regard Skyward's relationship with Birds. As you might know, birds play a huge role in the game. The Loftwings are "the other-half" of the Skyloftians. It's also important to remember that the names and characteristics of the Skyloftians are based on birds. I mean, it is no coincidence is it?
Once you've completed this game, you'll understand Gaepora's future role and story...

I figured that out the moment I heard Zelda's fathers name, it was said by a gossip stone in OoT that Gaepora was rumoured to be a reincarnation of an ancient sage, the question is, is it referring to ^him^?

Without a doubt. He also holds that book which is the same book that can be found in A Link To The Past. Skyward isn't chronically the first game in the series though, there's a backstory that goes even deeper.
I read a lot of frustrated comments about... [youtube:j41bxa3vqjQ] I got lucky twice (including Hero Mode), but in the end it did not make any logical sense whatsoever....
Who else noticed the plot similarities between this and Spirit Tracks?
"A demon wants to kidnap Zelda because he needs her in order to resurrect his master, the Demon King."
You're on the ball! I guess that Agahnim is also the very same character.
I doubt Agahnim has any connection to Skyward Sword or Spirit Tracks.
Demise has a lot in common with Malladus, though. Both are referred to as the Demon King, both were imprisoned by divine beings, and both use Zelda to be revived.
SPOILER! and why did Zelda and Link Not kiss END SPOILER!
Skyward Sword has lots of RPG elements in it, and multiple love interests is one of them. Nintendo must not have wanted to make separate endings. I guess that's why no kiss.
Yeah was about to say, there has been robots in Zelda games before...Beamos, Gohdan, I think Goht...
Don't forget Armos, though in previous games they were always statues. I like the redesigned Beamos and Armos in Skyward Sword. It made them more unique, yet it was still easy to tell what they were.
I doubt Agahnim has any connection to Skyward Sword or Spirit Tracks.
I truly believe there is. Everything that comes chronologically-speaking after Skyward, has it's roots in Skyward for the time being. There are similarities between Agahnim and Ghirahim.
1. Both kidnap Zelda 2. Both are seemingly henchmen (Ghirahim could be Demise's alter ego) 3. Both travel to the past 4. Both have a striking similarity in names
