Uggh. Your already that caught up to me. I only just finished the third dungeon this morning. However I did see some of the clip your talking about. Had to go to work though and shut the system off!

I finish Skyward Sword for the first time!
Not 100%. I'm missing 3 more pieces of heart but that's okay.

Professor Layton will be so proud of the 7th dungeon.

Yup. (gotta make up for lost time) Since I have the weekend free, it's gonna be non stop Zelda for me. And hey at least you have a job, I help baby sit my nieces and nephews at their (fun) terrible ages 1-4 stages atm :P You gotta see the whole clip it's awesome.

Hey I know what your talking about. I babysit a 2-4 year old except they're mine!

As for that clip. I know I'm going to enjoy it thats why I purposely shut the system off so I can begin with it next time I start! :-)

Wow, I can't stress enough how AWESOME this game is. There's just something so satisfying about collecting a Piece of Heart, or obtaining Gratitude Crystals, or upgrading weapons, getting through a dungeon, sending a Goddess Cube to the sky, winning Rupees, etc etc. The point is, I LOVE THIS GAME! (and I'm not even to the 5th dungeon yet). Happy times.

Minor annoyance but there really should have been an option to teleport to local bird statues from other bird statues instead of forcing you to go to the sky.

Of course considering how much I've failed, I needed to go back to Skyloft's shop many times so it's mostly not an issue.

Love the Lanayru gameplay mechanics...it's a shame the difficulty has nothing to do with the main gimmick of the area though. Stupid electric ball things. But that gimmick is incredibly clever and could be it's own Zelda game by itself.

Can we talk about how awesome the little scene that plays whenever you walk into a new dungeon is? Gives me chills every time.

Progress report: 32 hours in, just collected the last of the three flames. The sidequests in this game are the best since Wind Waker, and I must say I'm impressed at how every person in this town has a story. They all seemed like little more than broad caricatures at first, but if you really explore and start doing sidequests, they reveal themselves to be the most fully realized characters in the series since Majora's Mask. Loving every minute of this game.

Anybody else really enjoy the "protect the robot" journey up Eldin Volcano? Maybe it's just because I'm completely in love with the archery controls, but I thought that was a blast.

I'll discuss very, very minor complains about this incredible Wii experience.

1) The crawling mechanics (I'm not talking about the top view segments).

2) The final (multilayer) boss fight is not as coherent as in any other 3D Zelda game. One minute I'm fighting in the Skyward Sword universe and then I'm transported into the The Matrix Trilogy universe.

Oh yeah, I hate this game.
i'm sure that will change, but my last play session with it leading up to lanaryu mining facility was one of the most unfun and unforgiving experiences i've ever had in a game

Really!? I just went through that area and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm about halfway through the third dungeon! Can't wait to play more.

Well I just beat Lanaryu Mining Facility, and that was pretty cool. But the parts leading up to it were still incredibly frustrating IMO. Almost didn't want to play it today, but now that I've gone through the whole dungeon things are looking up again.

Just got the harp and headed back to the Sealed Grounds.

Just finished the Ancient Cistern( which IMO is the best dungeon I've ever played in a zelda game) and realized that their was a bottle next to the old lady in the sealed grounds THE WHOLE TIME. I love the Acient Cisterns atmosphere and the way it switch from zen to its underground. Even the mid-boss is cool, making me really think how i swing my sword for the first time since Girahim. Not to mention the actual boss of the temple which ranks as one of the series best.

I went inside Ancient Cistern for the time along with my upgraded wooden shield and thinking to myself that there's no fire in the water temple but I was wrong :(

Grew impatient waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail, so rented it at the video store (yes, they still exist) over the weekend. :)

Beat the first real temple, and have really enjoyed it so far.

Wish Fi's voice was different. Starting to get real annoying...

I just noticed something that doesn't connect with the rest of the series.

Past Zelda games have said that the Master Sword was created by the Sages.

What the heck is that all about?

legends or biblical style stories get messed up over time. If I recall there's a story in both the bible and torah that have different endings but are the same story.

that remark about the Bible and Torah is incorrect to my knowledge, the Bible's old testament is essentially identical to the Torah (just a few extra books), but let's not get into that.

My theory on the sword is that the Goddess Sword was forged by the Sages (or they at least had a hand in it), therefore, they technically created the Master Sword

I may have got it confused with Qur'an. Too lazy too bust out the holy books so i'll leave it at that. (or was it the dome of the rock)

Anywho yeah I could see the races shown in the prolouge being the sages.

Am I the only one with complaints about the sluggish pointer controls? Minor annoyance, yes, but it doesn't make sense. The standard Wii menu responsiveness is PERFECT. I don't know why they would have made the cursor feel so heavy in menus for this game.

That aside, I'm 44 hours in, on my way to the Lanayru (my third) dragon, and LOVING the absolute heck out of this game.
