there it is; miyamoto--san had some trouble demonstrating it, but it looks awesome anyway. it's called 'the skyward sword', and for those who didn't see it the visuals are a combination of windwaker and twilight princess, with some light cel shading over an adult link. the camera remains in 3rd person, and as expected, the sword and bow controls look very similar to wii sports resort. link swings in any direction that you do, you swing with both hands to spin, and if you hold the sword up you can charge it to fire some sort of laser out of it (yes!)
there were a few new items shown including a remote control bug and a whip that you also control with the motion+, but other than the new controls there weren't any earth shattering changes in the demo. now, to wait for some people to play it...
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Awhile back in a speculation thread I talked about a dream I had where Link was standing at the top of a cliff; he closed his eyes, spread out his arms and jumped off, and right as he was about to hit the bottom, he turned into a bird-like creature. Well you all saw the trailer today. Minus the bird, I called it.

To be brutally honest, I'm not a fan of the new art style--and this is coming from a guy who thinks Wind Waker is the greatest game of all time. I thought Twilight Princess and Wind Waker both had very strong artistic style, but this sort of half-and-half style just isn't working for some reason. It just looks very plain...almost "kiddy". Don't get me wrong, the gameplay blew me away, and I'm sure I'll eat my words when I see some more footage (or at least some footage that's less grainy than the live feed I was watching) but right now, I'm sold on the gameplay--not the style.

I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari-kiri rock!!! I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61!!!
I'm quite looking forward to it, and am generally impressed with the footage they showed of it. Unfortunately though the demo with Miyamoto wasn't as impressive as it should have been. I like the art style, although not as much as Wind Waker's, and am glad they decided to stay away from the realistic realm of graphics.
