Holy crap that game looks awesome. I rarely care about graphics in new games anymore unless they use weird unique art styles but holy crap that game looks awesome.

It even more than makes up for what I presume are "guys that look like girls" FFX+ character designs.

Yeah, It's been getting pretty dang good. I posted a thread featuring a Gamepla trailer, but it was all in Japanese. I'll see if I can find it later, if it's even necessary. I still can't wait for it, though.

It WILL make it to the states...probably. Ive mentioned this somewhere else, but look at the Nintendo of America website, under the games section. If you sort be release date, "Monado: Beginning of the World" Is sitting beautifully at 2nd place with no cover art, blank info screens, and essentially no information at all. But, its worth noting that if NoA put in on and that it did well in Japan, that they are at least trying to get it here. Lets hope its relatively sooner than later.

Is that another anime character with spiky hair, and a big sword?...sigh.

Send me the best you've got. Send me your strongest machines. The fight my brother fought, here, now, will end with me.

I know, its awesome. I don't care if the characters have spiky hair and big swords. I have been waiting for an RPG like this on the Wii, and it looks like there is finally going to be one.

I'm looking forward to it, too. A massive game with massive monsters and turn-based gameplay (albeit with real-time elements) is just what I could use on the Wii, except this time hopefully it won't bore me to death like White Knight Chronicles (last game of this type that I came across).

Sure, it'd be great to see, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. The Xeno series is almost certain to never be seen in English on a Nintendo console, let alone from Nintendo due to religious references (only played part of the first, so maybe I'm wrong).
Mother 1+2 was also listed for years with no info. :(

When the game comes to E3 2009 and 2010, I think it's eventually going to come out.

Maybe not a Nintendo game but there's no way there hasn't been games with religious references on a Nintendo console. Hell, Breath of Fire 2 had some blatant references IIRC. And that was during the RPG , G rated, poor translation era. Why the hell would this be a problem now?

They released Dragon Quest 9, and which makes many blatant but not specific references to Christianity. I think they've since changed their ways.

Since when has a game not been allowed on a console for religious references? And what do you mean by that? Ficticious religions or real ones? I know countless games on the Wii with ficticious religions and just as many with real religious references. Castlevania, Resident Evil series, Indiana Jones (Staff of Kings is about the staff of Moses and the SNES title covers the ark and the holy grail) and Broken Sword are just some off the top of my head.

The question you should be asking is "when was the last time a game has not been allowed on a console for religious references?"

The answer is probably "before Breath of Fire 2 at least."

I need to point that out again. Really, from what I played (which from what I understand was more than half of the game) every other major plot development that happened in the story involved something religious related.

It still happened, actually, right up through the PSOne era. Nowadays, not so much.
