Topic: would you want achievements on the wii?

I would like, but i think we wont have an achievent system like in 360 or PS3 in our Wii. Maybe on Nintendo's next console.

Who wouldnt? And anyone that says they dont, tell me why you wouldnt?

Because not all games(especially Nintendo related ones)seem to fit the “achievement system”.
Even if there isn`t an achievement system in the next Wii, I could give a crap less.

In Super Mario Galaxy what are some achievements that wouldn`t seem pointless or obvious?

I think they're cool, but only add to the experience and extent replay value for Completionisits, like in MM9 and S&S.

like said..we already got some games with achievments....add new adventure island...but i dont need that stuff...i play for fun.

Nah. I agree with weird. Unlockables have some point to them. Achievements or trophies or whatever they're called, don't interest me really.

I dont, I like whats done in brawl since your actully get something for each achivement but just putting them in their for the single purpose of adding replay value is cheap and shoud be left to each developer to put them in or not and do it their way rather then have the same little thing pop up on evry single game.

I feel the exact same way. I love SSBB and MarioKart, because with every game it was fun unlocking all the fighters/racers. When I get a trophy on my PS3, I am just like.."okay...thats um...impressive, I guess." The only kinda of trophies I do like, is when it shows proof that you did something really cool in the game.
