and on the topic of SMG2 there is one mechanic I am really looking forward to seeing again infact I remember when they were hyping up the original Galaxy and one of the developers said that he was "looking forward to seeing speedruns that abused the gravity mechanic". He even suggested that that's why some of the comet challenges centred around that idea. So I am sure I am not the only one excited about the idea of abandoning Yoshi's in space.

I hate the 'slidey one' but it gave the game a slight challenge having cruised through it with Mario. I'd welcome him back, but I'd really like to see a whole cast of playable characters to unlock with repeated play-through's or collectibles through out the game. Wahoo!
That is my favorite Mario fan art. It perfectly captures so many -- too many -- moments of my childhood. I hope they bring that back, too.
that is definitely one of my favorites, too, because I've done that so often to save my own hide, lol. and that level is so annoying with the sinking platforms and the flying koopas that come out of nowhere (almost).
