Umm...is this fanboy rant really necessary? I have a Wii AND a PS3, and I enjoy both for different reasons.
I don't even feel like fighting back against all your points (probably be a waste of time anyway), but it's worth noting that the smallest hard drive that comes with a modern PS3 is 80GB. You can also buy a standard 2.5" laptop hard drive to upgrade, getting it up to 320+GB for the cost of a 32GB SD card.
The above was a simple logical statement and not any type of fanboy retort. I'll ALWAYS be a Nintendo fan first, but I also won't tolerate illogical ranting about the competition.

The solution to irritation with anti-Wii nonsense in other boards is to read them sparingly or make liberal use of the ignore function that exists in most off-the-shelf bbs software.

First of all, the ridiculous amount of caps in all your posts makes them very difficult to read. You should emphasize at most one word or phrase per sentence, and use an * before and after the word/phrase to bold it or put _ before and after the word to italicize it. OK, forum formatting tips 101 is over. As for the content of your post, yea, the 20GB model is a ripoff if you download a lot... but that's why they have multiple SKUs. If you wanted the hard drive space for anything else, you should have gotten one of the higher end models. I have a 60GB PS3, and despite having all the updates, Home, about 15 CDs worth of music, and 25 games downloaded (one of which is Warhawk, which also sells as a retail game, so you know it's big), and I still have a lot of space left over. When you have multiple choices for a system, you shouldn't necessarily go with the cheaper one. Think about what you're buying it for first, and if you need the extra space, well, pay for the extra space.
Also, PS3 can use SD cards just like Wii, so it's not like the 20GB model is completely useless, either. And as Stuffgamer mentions, you can upgrade the harddrive yourself if you run out of space.
Sony's approach works well, and I don't feel lied to at all. I prefer my Wii, but both platforms have their individual strengths and weaknesses. Your attack of the PS3 is just as silly as these supposed attacks on the Wii you are defending against (though I have no idea what you're referring to because this is a Nintendo site, and no one here would be so adamantly against the Wii).

Making snap judgements on consoles based on brand is stupid, a console is a piece of plastic with chips and wires inside, its the games that make a console and all systems have worthy games, there is no better console, just personal preference, ranting and raving about a games machine as if its a heated religious or political argument is just plain crazy.
I learned to not get involved with anything that people with the brain capacity matched to a monkey with a banana. In short, if something that said sound something stupid, then by so means that they are a bit of an idiot. Though, sometimes I do say some really off-hand stupid stuff.

Who is this rant directed against? We all like Nintendo here. The site is called Nintendo-Life. I am so confused. Such misplaced anger. Like BlackDragon says, just play the game if you like it so much. Don't fuss other people (people who aren't even on this forum) for not liking it.
Here's one that I had recently on my Dead Rising trailer... "this is why i dont like the wii its so unoriginal they keep making stupid remakes of games with less content like cod 5 no nazi zombies and black cats isn't in it. why cant they make a game thats exclusive to it so that people would want to buy one"
I ended up having a massive flame war with the guy, which also included responses such as "Resident Evil 4 is s****", and "your to poor to buy a real console", despite being a 360 fanboy, which is cheaper than being a Wii fanboy in the first place nowadays. At one point, the best response he could come up with was "Excuse me your a duche bag.", and he even claimed "Super Mario galaxy is a peice of s**** dude. F***ing give up.". More responses from the guy include "Re4 isnt an amzing game get the f*** over it. And grow some b*lls you f****ing 12 year old.", and (even more imaginatively) "You really need to learn when to shut up. And you are a 12 year old. Goodbye. And re4 does suck."
I think the true fans, in any case, are the ones who are secure enough to acknowledge their product choice strength and weaknesses. Sometimes that means admitting some hard truths.
The Wii, as it currently is, will never have those "WOW" graphics that the PS3 has. Thats never been as issue for me, just like the old saying goes, Man cannot live on bread alone. A gamer cannot game on graphics alone. I bought the Wii for the VC. All the Wii games that came out, that I love, are just many cherries on top of an already delicious sundae.
The Wii has less the desirable stability when it comes to its Online services. I could really care less about online services. When I buy a game, I usually only look to the single player stuff. To me, co-op is only something I want in a beat-em-up or a fighter. And when I do have those, I only go with Local co-op or versus, that way I can strangle the guy that used those cheap shots to kill me. A game like Halo (2 and 3) which seems to put most of its strength in Online multiplayer as opposed to solid campaign, (based on what I heard) to me, is a failure of a game.
A lot of Wii games just have tacked on motion controls or are wand wavers. Yes, thats definitely true for a more then comfortable amount of games. But I think in that area people forget that the 360 and PS3 have thier shares of games with bad controls and button mashers. No system in perfect.
Wii has too much Shovelware yes....yes they do. But the reason for that, i think, is because these shovelware game developers dont have that much money and they want to put their game on the cheapest venue available. And that just happens to be the Wii. Its like this, the X360 and PS3 have strong immune systems, so they are protected from bacteria, aka shovelware games. Poor Wii has a weaker immune system, so its vulnerable.

Perfect analysis, my friend. Being a 360 and Wii owner, I'm willing to play both machines due to their greatly differing libraries. If I'm in the mood for some Rare stuff or Street Fighter or something, I'll turn on the 360. On the other hand, if I'm looking for a classic romp or perhaps some Galaxy, I'll turn to Nintendo. So, like you said, stick to what works for you.

Hardcore, casual = marketing. The real divide is between arcade and narrative games.
Using my new powers I has changed the thread title to something more appropriate. As long as the conversation remains civil I'm happy for this to be a place where people can vent their frustrations about how the Wii is perceived elsewhere so that kind of thing doesn't bleed over into other threads.
Phalyn put it best, I think. I believe most of the people out there that hate on the Wii have never had one, and aren't obviously open-minded to try it. It's best to just ignore them. Don't feed the trolls!
