Okay, I get it. What RPG elements does A shadow's tale have though?

You get EXP from killing monsters and level up. Same as in Pandora's Tower.

I'll be ordering some classic arcade awesomeness with the Metal Slug Anthology later today. I also plan on getting the "highly recommended by Waveboy" Klonoa as well.

Hello there, I was a Wii user of the first hour, I also enjoyed the SNES back in the day, and the gamecube. Both the gamecube and later the Wii I sold in favor of getting the XBOX and the XBOX360. The reason mainly was that there was not many games that I enjoyed on both systems (Had the systems maybe 2 years after launch respectively) and I found more of what I was looking for on Microsoft's system. Things have changed a lot though, I am sick of only seeing all the same shooters everywhere and for my strategy games or MMO fix or some serious online racing I also have a more than capable PC here. My thoughts now were this, what about getting a Wii again, saving money so close to the launch of the Wii U (which no matter how good the system will be will not see any seriously interesting titles - for me - until mayb as well 2 years into its lifecycle) and getting some games I can enjoy with my friends, so I am mostly looking for good RPGs to play alone (got an eye on monster hunter) and most importantly things I can play with my friends and my girlfriend - all of them quite advanced gamers so please no minigame collections or too much kiddy-esque stuff please. I know about the graphical differences between Wii and it's competition but it doesn't matter to me. Gameplay is king (enjoying Chrono Trigger on my 3DS right now - which is also really lacking lots of good games but at least I can get many DS gems I missed for little money now, also playing EVERQUEST after 14 years!! again on my pc, so...).

My question is, now that you know a bit of my background, what games could you guys recommend to me. Im not too much of a fan of jump'n runs so you can leave them out of the equation. Thanks for your support in advance!

My 3DS Top 10 (no particular order): Code of Princess, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Castlevania Lords of Shadows, Fire Emblem Awakening, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario Sticker Star, New Super Mario Bros 2, Mario Land 3D, Gunman Clive.

Xenoblade is your one and only choice...okay, and maybe The Last Story since you're from Europe.

I don't feel so enthusiastic about Xenoblade and Last Story since the games are so easy you can sleep during boss fights... and win!

I also ordered this + the Bit trip collection.

I also just completed Rayman: origins and I can say that now with the price reductions, its a deal that you should not miss. Easily GOTY (2011) material.

Monster Hunter is not the greatest game to play by yourself. You'd be better off with something like Zelda: Skyward Sword.

I heard The Last Store was easy, but you're totally ****ing trolling with Xenoblade. Unless you power-grind, do every single quest there is, or spend hours getting the best gems, Xenoblade is actually pretty tough, at least enough for a JRPG.

Acctually i've found The Last Story more challenging, not to mention there's absolutely no punishment in loosing battles on Xenoblade

Hah. The RPG I would recommend on the Wii is Pandora's Tower, since it at least tries to be something different to a low-
resolution PS3 RPG.

While some of the bosses in Xenoblade were pretty hard , they never really required any strategy to beat , which was a real shame since I found Xenoblade's battle system to be really deep.

Hi guys here's the situation, I've always been a Nintendo lover! I get most consoles during a generation but the Nintendo offering is usually my-go-to- console! With the Gamecube I used to take great pleasure playing games that my other friends hadn't heard (tales of symphonia, skies of arcadia, viewtiful joe, metroid etc) of while they toiled away with Halo and Fifa!

Anyway this generation with the Wii I'm ashamed to say I became frustrated with it, I wasn't one for the controls and there seemed to be no games that took my fancy, so for the first time my nintendo console took a backseat! UNTIL NOW, with the Wii-U on the horizon I now realise there's an absolute plethora of games to get through that have completely passed me by!

Here's my poor collection : Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. Mario Kart, Tenchu, Super Paper Mario, Metroid other M, New SMB, Metroid Corruption, Twilight, Skyward and Donkey Kong Returns!

I've ordered Boy and his Blob and Madworld to start on the games I've missed out on, are these good choices? Anyways hit me with the games I must get before this generation ends and I lose out forever! Thanks In advance! x

Tatsunoko vs Capcom
Xenoblade
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Muramasa
Trauma Team - oops you're in Europe ignore that one.
Sonic Colours
Lost in Shadow Shadow's Tale

Mad World isn't bad, but the original No More Heroes is better.
