I actually like the original Prime (with Wii controls) the best, which is why I think you should get Metroid Prime Trilogy. All three games are very much worth playing and you can't ask for a better bundle.And it's nothing like Halo or TF2. It's more of a first person adventure, and the games are very fun.

Edit: I should note that $4 and $10 for Metroid Prime 1 & 2 on the GC are about the right place, since I consider them to be barely playable on the single-analog control scheme that was used on GC. They are easily worth $50 apiece on the Wii.
. Also make sure you buy Little Kings Story, its dirt cheap now and is (IMO) one of the top 5 games for Wii.Its that good!!
