Now that Twilight Princess is on Wii selects I'd recommend that to anybody with a Wii. It's one of this generation's best adventure games, topped only by Uncharted 2

As brilliantly cinematic as it was, there really wasn't anything in Uncharted 2 I'd associate with (action-)adventure games. Unless looking for blinking lights in impossible spots counts as exploration and about a handful puzzles thrown into ~10 hours of shooting stuff and on-rails platforming make it puzzle-heavy. ;)

How long is No More Heroes 2 compared to the original, since the Hub World as been axed...Thank god, for the trillionth time.lol I'm thinking about playing it at the end of this month, along with Dead Space: Extraction after I'm finished up with Zelda: links Awakening DX and a Boy & his Blob. B-)

As for DS: Extraction, how long did it take you guys to finish that one up? I'm guessing it's as long as something like House of the Dead 2? Yet maybe even longer due to the game's in game cut scenes. Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles is another one i wan't to get, how do you guys think he stacks up with DS: Extraction?

Questions, Questions, Questions muhaha. lol

NMH 2 is approximately 8 hours. Depending on if you do all of the side jobs or not.

Just for you.

Dead Space: Extraction is definitely longer than House of the Dead 2 but still somewhat short. I think. Maybe 6-8 hours.

Really awesome game, mainly because it really plays just like if Dead Space was a rail shooter (actually did a far better job than Umbrella Chronicals imo).

8 hours for both huh? Sounds pretty good.

Also, I still haven't even tried out the Wii Fit Plus with the balance board yet. I was thinking about getting Wii Fit plus maybe in a couple months. Do you guys think it's worth the cash-ola? lol in no way would i use it every day or religously to actually lose weight as it's a pathetic way to lose weight to begin with AND i don't need to lose any weight anyways.lol

But, i'm interested in some of the unique mini games, like that marble sinking game, or the penguin ice berg titling(whatever they're called ect ect) but i can't justify dropping the $99.

It seems like one of the last few wii titles i'd buy. :p

Epic Mickey, Murumasa and Sonic Colors are giving me second thoughts as well...

@WaveBoy I dont have any of the rail shooters that you mentioned other than Darkside Chronicles (just not a big fan) so I cannot comment on those but if you are a RE fan I definitely recommend it. It has different difficulty levels so it can be a good challenge and will last many hours because you can play as 1 character then go back and play as the other. Also, I would love to see an RE2 remake in the fashion of Darkside Chronicles and this is coming from somone who is not big into remakes. Plus you get some cool RE back story if you are into that sort of thing.

My wife has a Wii Fit (not plus) and yeah it is fun... for a little while then it gets tired really quick. I say don't waste your video game dollars on this!

To blessed to be stressed.
I miss Japanese games, the good stuff... Games that are imaginative, have good and unique gameplay, a great soundtrack, and replay value.

So I missed Muramasa, and just did some quick research. Looks pretty awesome and I love Ninja like fighters so looks like that is one to add to the list.

What games do you think are needed to have a good Wii collection?
I list all the big maybe's (games that I don't have on my wishlist)

Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands?
Conduit 1 & 2?
Deadly Creatures?
Any good Need for Speed games on the Wii? Any Need for Speed game I should avoid?
With so many Sonic games on the Wii (I have not a single one), a question to all fans: what is your Sonic Top 3?

Any other must-owns & recommendations (that are not in my collection/backloggery yet?

With all the interest in Pandora's Tower recently, I actually started thinking about Forgotten Sands again. They seem to have many elements in common, and are both considered at least good.
Regarding Need for Speed I'm pretty certain the correct answer is to avoid them as much as possible on Wii. If you love Racing games these should all be better: Sonic & Sega Allstars Racing, ExciteBots, TrackMania Wii, Speed Racer, FAST (WiiWare), FZERO GX and Wave Race (the last two being for GC)

edit: also, Instead of Conduit 1/2, get GoldenEye for your Wii FPS fix. Other games I don't see on your list that you might like are Klonoa, NiGHTS, de Blob 2, Trauma Team, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Endless Ocean 2, Rogue Trooper, Pearl Harbor Trilogy (WiiWare), Kirby's Epic Yarn, MadWorld, Epic Mickey, NBA JAM, Sonic Colors, StrongBad series (WiiWare)... and.. I think I'll leave it at that, for now ;)

Hi, thanks. That's a lot of recommendations. Anything that I really shouldn't miss? I'm open for everything and like all genres and kinds of games.

Quick rundown: From the racing games I'd really love to get Excitebots but it's not released in EU. I think I have to go with SEGA All-Stars Racing and Trackmania. I hoped there was one good Need for Speed game on the Wii like Most Wanted (that was a good one on Xbox). I wanted to get FAST Racing League but retail is priority at the moment. WiiWare won't run away. I already have F-Zero GX and Wace Race: Blue Storm and any other worthwile Gamecube-racer. That leaves Speed Racer to be the last one of the bunch. And I know next to nothing about it. Movie license, generic name, overlooked, forgotten. Pros & cons?

From the next bunch GoldenEye, Endless Ocean 2 and Kirby's Epic Yarn are high on my soon-to-get-list.
Trauma Team is another fantastic game that wasn't released here.
MadWorld is not available in my country but I know someone nice from England who picked it up for me. So I will be getting it soon.
Strong Bad is really intriguing. I played the first one and enjoyed it very much, but I think it's a little expensive for 1000pts per episode. I always wondered, is Pearl Harbor Trilogy a trilogy? Or just the first part of three games?
And the rest of the games are definately on my radar. I'll be getting them when they hit a price I want to pay.
From highest to lowest priority: Epic Mickey > Sonic Colors > Tatsunoko vs. Capcom > Klonoa > NiGHTS > Rogue Trooper > NBA JAM > de Blob 2.

Muramasa comes highly recommended. It's kind of a more Japan-centered Ninja - version of the Metroidy Castlevania games. Less skills in good jumping but more in well-timed slashing required though.
Sonic Colors really felt good to me. A 3D Sonic made fun and mostly funny cutscenes instead of a senseless back story / hub world.

Ahhh, I guess Wii Fit would be a nice rental if that, i feel that I'd be missing out if I didn't experience the Balance board and it's teeny weeny innovative gameplay. :p It's not exactly or at all high on my 'to buy list', but it's something i feel like i need to just try out. As for Darkside Chronicles, I guess I'll pull the trigger once I'm finished up with my other Wii titles. And I will never buy anymore games ever again until i'm finished with the ones that I already have. I usually like buying 2 games at a time and then buying 2 more once i've finished the 2. When you've got too many games going on in your collection you feel overwhelmed and annoyed, at least I do.lol

As for Sonic Colors I think I"m going to pass. I'm just not a big fan at all of Sonic. Sonic flat out depresses me. lol
I've blazed through Sonic 1, 2 back in the day on the Genesis. Along with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 on the DC, the horrible(imo) Sonic rush on the DS and most recently the worst yet Sonic 4. I've straight up had a lot of bad memories with Sonic....Like getting Sonic Pinball for christmas that one time. ugh.

But ya, Sonic is nothing but a 'Half' hardly controllable rollercoaster ride(or in sonic Rushs case 90% rollercoaster ride) and half 'sloppy' platforming. I hate that damn hedgehog and the horse he road in on. :p

Golden Eye 007
Here's another one I'm semi interesed in, but i hear people saying it's basically just another Call of Duty with a coat of James Bonde paint. :p

Epic Mickey
I don't know, there's something about this one that i just don't like....Maybe it's the wonky camera, or the mediocre 'nothing special' platforming, but the fact that it's classic Mickey and looks like it's some sort of spiritual successor to Castle of Illusion, and has pointer controlled Paint brushing action and especially those classic disney side scrolling levels has my eyes glued.

Wii Party
Honestly, I can only see myself playing this on 1 or 2 players, and once again 'like' Wii Fit Plus i feel like I should give it a try, then again....:p

But I will be buying the following. B-)

Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Collection
Mario Kart Wii
Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
Murumasa: The Demon Blade
Wii Play Motion

In a lot of ways yeah. But it works because for a modern day FPS it is fairly basic but just a well made and fun game. It never feels like it's trying to be anything more than what it is, and it works because of that. Nothing amazing but I had far more fun with it than the last couple of Call of Dutys so there's that.

But if you aren't a huge fan of multiplayer and online, don't even bother.

I was a big fan like many of Golden eye 007's multiplayer back on the N64, so of course I'd be down for a little classic Golden Eye 1 or 2, or 4 player action. As for the Online....Meh, i could honestly care less. But how's the single player experience? I never cared too much about the original's....Hell, even the james Bond movies don't interest me. :p

@Waveboy: I actually liked the single player. I was a HUGE fan of the N64 version in fact it was the reason I got the 64 over the PS but thats another story. I felt that the single player of GoldenEye Wii was just as good as the N64 version if not better. Just the fact that there was more that you can do action wise and that the levels were longer and flowed smoother was alot better improvement. Like for example I like the fact that you can sneak up behind guards ie Solid Snake style was great. Unlike the N64 version where all you can do is a crappy chop.

As for saying its its like CoD with a coat of James Bond paint is somewhat right but it makes sense like I said the fact that you can sneak up on guards Metal Gear style rather than shooting is great. I am not a fan of CoD games but I love the hell out of GoldenEye. If you can find a good deal on it I say go for it.
