I've toned for sure (that sounds so gay), learned a lot about my stance and balance too, and I know someone who has lost a little weight using it. She's moved onto EA Active now and that's flippin' h-core! Wii-fit is now her 'wind-down'.
Worth it tho' just for the board, I love it and try any old game out on it (rabbid space surfing is my fave). Want that floating mech one next.
I haven't done much with Wii Fit, but I picked up Active when it released and it's a pretty competent personal trainer. You'll easily break a sweat with that one.
I use it mainly for the yoga and to try to keep me focused. I do regular exercises and walk to work so I was getting 3 and 4 star ratings from the get-go; I really don't need it to lose weight because my problem is just eating too much! I am trying to buckle down now and I've dropped below 94kg again. Hopefully I can get back to the 91kg I had before a holiday of excess took me up a few notches. Then my goal will be 86kg, which was a milestone I hit a few years ago when the wife and I were doing Weight Watchers online.
Really looking forward to Wii Fit Plus and the ability to set routines, plus the additional exercises (and hopefully better balance/weight measurement).
I started with Wii Fit and Helix, but I've been using My Fitness Coach for a couple of months now. It doesn't use the motion controls so it can't tell when you do something wrong, but it does have exercises for your whole body including core which I'm not sure EA Sports Active has. And it's cheaper then both right now
