@SuperSonic if you can get a cheap lens cleaner for your Wii I would recommend that. They can be had most places quite cheap and I've heard of people having good results getting Brawl working after a clean.
I tried that and it STILL wouldn't work. Maybe I didn't follow the directions exactly or something. I guess I'll keep trying until it DOES work.
OR you could have the Wii sent off to Nintendo. Fill out the details on their website and you can get it sent off for free. I did that when i got Brawl, as i don't trust those lens cleaners. I know it means no Wii for a week or two but it's worth it. I honestly thought this issue had completely become a thing of the past by now

Well,I'll keep trying and I MIGHT consider doing that. But,I REALLY don't want to. My Brawl disc has been working for a year at least! But,I'm probobly going to try every other possible solution before sending my Wii out. Nintendo should have done something to prevent this before releasing Brawl.

If it is minor like a lens adjustment (as sounds the case given your other games are still working -- correct?) then I expect this would be a no-charge repair from Nintendo. You'd just have to live without your Wii for a couple of weeks. I would do the call logging online for better tracking (and saving on the premium-rate phone charge) and be sure to back up all your save game data (though I cannot see why they would format/do a board swap for this issue.
Hmmm, I did add you but you're still not coming up. I'll have to confirm the code again -- you did put in my PAL system code and not the Japanese one, right?

It would help if people could state where they are from also. I'm from Australia, so I guess I would get better connections with fellow aussies. Just a suggestion.
