I can't even think of an RPG for the Wii, but the DS gets dozens upon dozens of them - Nostalgia, Mario & Luigi 3, Golden Sun, Final Fantasy... Am I the only one who desperately wants an epic RPG for Wii?
Oh don`t worry Pixelman, theres Tales of Symphonia 2, Dragon Quest, and Final Fantasy. Then theres Arc Rise Fantasia, Monster Hunter 3, Valhalla sonething?, and a couple more coming out.
But yea I see what you mean about the lack of RPGs on Wii. Its worse than the lack of FPSs lol
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
No, you're not the only one. I too want to see a real RPG on the Wii. But, like Corbie, I'm just glad I'm getting them on any system.
On another note: Hopefully Namco localizes Tales of Graces. They did that with Symphonia on the Gamecube (another RPG-starved system), and it sold pretty well.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
To me RPG's on a DS makes a little more sense as the time needed to devote to them is more feasible on a DS. I have much more time with commuting etc. to play RPGs on the go.
@Chrono+Cross: The existing ones you mentioned all look like action RPGs, which is not really my thing. Plus the press has not been kind to them. Arc Rise Fantasia did catch my eye, though. Eh, Nintendo should make a Mario RPG. Grrrrr.
Nintendo should make a Mario RPG? Well... They technically did... Super Paper Mario... Some don't really call it an RPG... I liked it. Some people hate it cause it's not like the other games... But that's a dumb excuse in my book... Unless you mean a Mario RPG with Geno & Mallow... Then... That's not gonna be likely for a long, long time...
“I am matter... I am antimatter... I can see your past... I can see your future... I consume time... And I will consume you!”
Derr, Super Paper Mario isn't really an RPG. Sure, it's sort of an action RPG, but it's really a platformer. I didn't like it because:
1) The platforming itself was bland. 2) There were some balancing issues. 3) Some of the story bits were just plain stupid instead of funny. 4) It felt like a strong departure from the first two, which I didn't like at all.
There was a Tales game, though I haven't played it (or any in the series) yet. Another one has been announced for Wii but no release date in the West. Nintendo is going to be publishing Monado. Some other RPG was announced not long ago, I think, but I can't remember what. The best looking one is Arc Rise Fantasia, which is due out this year, too.
There's Fire Emblem and soon Phantom Brave if you count strategy-RPGs.
The Wii is no PS2, but I think it could get to that level someday if the Wii ends up having at least as long a life cycle.
