Seriously, what? I can find good and bad things with all systems, yet it seems that M$ fans, Sony fans, media outlets, the gaming industry, and even Nintendo fans have many, many complaints about Nintendo. I was wondering do PS360 fansites complain about their console manufacturers and what they do wrong as much as we do? It seems as if Nintendo fans have nothing but good things to say about rival consoles while the reverse is not true. Maybe I'm wrong about this. Tell me your opinions.

The Nintendo fanbase are the worst video game fanbase I've ever seen. With the exception of you guys, most ever hardcore gamers do nothing but *****, moan, whine, and complain about the Wii, Nintendo, DSiWare, DSi, and maybe the DS. Even the Sonic fanbase is better then this, at least they know that Sonic games has sucked lately. Nintendo games are mostly classics, but hardcore gamers always find something to complain about. Shame on the fanbase.

Nintendo's also a bit trapped when it comes to franchises. Everyone begs for the next Mario and Zelda. Those are two of my favorite series as well, but for the love of all that's creative, let Nintendo breath. Let them branch out to newer audiences and come back to you later. I doubt ppl have this problem with Sony 1st party. No one would be begging for an Ico sequel because they're too busy drooling over The Last Guardian. I doubt M$ has this problem because their fanbase probably can't even name a 1st party title from them. It doesn't matter to them when they get a 3rd party exclusive as hot as Splinter Cell Conviction.

Um to answer your question in your first post yes, PS3 & 360 fanboys whine, complain, and beg4more just like we do! Just like us their very untolerable when it comes to trying new things. I`m on neither side of this Next-gen war even though I prefer Nintendo over them all

Sonic Fanbase? What Sonic Fanbase? Isn`t Sonic dead to you guys by now(like he is me)?

Nintendo doesn`t listen to what whiny fanboys want, they listen to the sales. We getting a new Mario, Zelda, and Metroid in 2010. As for Nintendo not creating “NEW” things just look at Wii music, Endless Ocean, Wii Fit, Wii Sports, and much more.

Sony doesn`t have much hate mail because Sony can only make Ratchet & Clanks and God of Wars. Microsoft can only make Halo and Gears of War(which a horrible game). Nintendo makes franchises of every genre unlike it`s competitors.

Wii Hate? THAT would be an interesting game, wouldn't it?

@Chrono Cross: I liked Sonic Unleashed, thank you very much! If they take out the Werehog next time, people will LOVE Sonic again! Which means they'll probably manage to screw it up again somehow.

I've never been a big Sonic "fan" (grew up Nintendo, got a Genesis this decade), but he's still got some pretty good games.

EDIT: Also, Sony gets tons of hate mail because the PS3's currently on the market STILL aren't backwards compatible with PS2. Never forget that.

@bradonbwii I agree with you and i disagree wtih you...
yes many wii fans do complain a lot when they dont get their way and it is annoying especially when they dont get the game they wanted for Virtual console or WiiWare. Before, we were getting only 1 VC 1 WW games and the nintendo fanbase had the right to complain because we were getting sorry pathetic games. So i didnt mind that but now that we are getting better game such as swords and soldiers and more wiiware games, and the upcoming of super mario kart and possibly smash bros 64. I agree that most nintendo cry babys are annoying of not getting what they want. They always want a great game every week. I mean right now im still enjoying Swords and soldiers, crystal defenders and texas hold'em.
It does get annoying at times

Online games I have are ... (I'll add more Friend Code later)
Wii Games
Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Bros

WiiWare
Texas Hold'em
Cue Sports Pool Revolution
Bomberman Blast
Onslaught

Actually, the only place where I see any Wii hate are internet forums crammed with angry fanboys, who think they are "hardcore", while they play FPS games with analog sticks (which is most ironic thing ever). Normal people LOVE the Wii. Because unlike the XBox 360 and the PS3, which are basically only dumbed down PCs, the Wii focuses on fun entertainment for everyone and everyone's friends and families. Wii Sports is the new Tetris, when it comes to popularity. The Wii changed the entire video gaming market, it changed the entire image of gaming. Before the Wii, in the "glory" era of PS2 and GameCube, gaming was considered to be something for isolated, fat, ugly nerds, who spent their entire free time in a dark basement playing bloody shooters. The Wii changed that, video games are now associated with socialising and even fitness. I would have never get my girlfriend or my family to play video games, the Wii changed that, too. Now they even start to like games like Zelda. Wii hate? I don't see any Wii hate. And if you see some, it's ignorable.

Yea I really have liked Unleashed if the Werehog wasn`t involved. Otherwise the day stages were pretty awesome but with the lack of those cute cuddly Chaos I just don`t like it as much as I do S. Adventure 2 Battle.
But then when they gave Sonic a sword(though it had Potential to succeed and great graphics), I kinda gave up on Sonic and all his glory he once had

Yeah, Sonic + Sword = stupid idea. But it probably still sold pretty well somehow.

To clarify, I wanted to know because I mostly only visit Nintendo sites. The times I did visit other sites the only fanboy rage I encountered were Sony/M$ answers to motion controls. Other than that, they seemed pretty okay. Again, I just don't pay as much attention to their stuff.

BTW, I am aware of the other games Nintendo is releasing outside of older franchises, but when you look at certain analysts and fanboys, that's irrelevant as all they had to show of a new Zelda was a picture. "No Zelda? Nintendo fails! Glad I got a 360!"

I'm not sure why people hate on any of the consoles or handhelds. They all have something good to offer, just depends on what you're looking for.

Oh it's because all the fanboys who whine are college kids. They have a lot of stress and stuff. They just want to do their part to get their companies console back on top. Just what they did in the 80's- The Sega fanboys downplayed Nintendo consoles.

I dunno its just stereotyped to be the childish console so its inevitable that the clueless will pick on it

I think a lot of people these days focus far too much on realism in gaming, and since the Wii isn't able to pump out the lifelike images and textures that the other consoles can they immediately view it as an inferior system. I'm actually quite the opposite. I've always really preferred well-done cel-shaded graphics to pure realism. It's like taking a step back out of reality, which is a big part of what gaming is about to me.

I think, too, that a lot of people look at Wii games that use that softer graphical style and automatically think "bleh...kids game", which is a shame because the gameplay possibilities of the Wii are really incredible when developers manage to think outside the box. Granted, there seems to be more awful games than good ones but I think that can probably be said for any gaming platform. Many developers just can't really seem to integrate the motion controls in a way that makes it seem natural. There are also games ported to the Wii from other consoles where motion control feels tacked on as an afterthought (here's looking at you Marvel Ultimate Alliance). But the developers that do get it right manage to create a completely new gaming experience which really shows what the Wii is all about. And looking at the amount of brilliant titles in the works (not only for Wii but via WiiWare as well), more and more devs are realising that and using it to their advantage.

As far as complaining fanboys, I think they are the bane of any gaming fan base to be honest. They get so attached to what they love about the subject matter that they almost forbid the developer to broaden out and do anything different. It's generally their obsession that's the issue, rather than any fault on the dev's part. Do I want to continue seeing more of the same line of Nintendo titles? Yeah, sure. But I'd also like to see Nintendo bring out some new characters and IP that can grab me in the same way that all those classic ones have for the past 25 years.

@Ricardo91: I don't think that's been a problem over the last month or two. I mean come on, they just dropped FFVII and Metal Gear Solid, two of the most-requested games! And I'M glad they finally released Spyro 2 & 3. Sure, there's more they can do, and over time, they will. But overall, PS1 Classics haven't been NEARLY as big a cause for complaints as VC has lately.
