Why no new system updates or wii channels? Its been what 3-4 months since last update and god knows how long its been since a new channel has been released. I wish they would work on a online community, or are friend codes the best they can do.
There are quite a few channels we should already have, come to think of it and a few features here and there. They must be holding out on us for one reason or another.
One thing about NOA - they restructured and a bunch of old hands quit. So that is probably why, the only person who does not really embarrass themselves consistently is that Denise lady.
IGN: The holiday Wii lineup looks thin for the hardcore crowd. We see this. Gamers see this. What, if anything, is Nintendo planning to address it?
Oh good, I am neither a gamer or hardcore. Saves me from having to be IGNorant. Right, Down, A, Down, Right, Up

Oh dear. Denise is such an embarrassment to NOA,it is not even laughable.
Friend Codes are a great concept, but it really, really, really ought to be just one friend code per system, not per game. It's extremely unwieldy and pointless. I hope friend codes remain on future systems for safety reasons, but I hope they're streamlined this way.
When it comes to FCs more games should be like MKWii and Conduit or the EA Sports games.
I too have been hoping for more Wii channels and some worthwhile non-game dsi apps (flipnote can't come soon enough). I hope NOA finds a way to bring Wii no Ma to the USA. I'd buy it just for the fun looking hub/interface.

I do think some new channels need to come down the pipe. The selection is a bit stale at this point. As far as friend codes go, I couldn't really care less. If I want online gaming I have a PC for that. Although, having said that, my tune may change when Madden 10 is released.
The whole argument that different friend codes for different games is to protect kids is flawed, why would it be ok to play someone in one game but not another? Do people turn from friendly and "kid safe" to a total a-hole depending on what game they are playing?
Personally, I think the Wii console number should be the only code anyone needs to share, and then there can be specific options somewhere to "disallow" anyone on your friends list from playing a certain game with you.
I don't know WHY someone would want to play Mario Kart with someone else, but not Smash Bros...but maybe there's an argument to be had, and if Nintendo really wants the possibility of shutting players out from some games but not others, just give us a checklist on the Wii menu that we can manage if need be.
Am I the only one that doesn't care about the extra Wii channels? Besides the Game and the Mii channels, they never see any action. I'd rather play a game on my gaming console, thank you very much.
About the online friend codes: yeah, they can be annoying, but I highly doubt Nintendo's going to change them this generation. I really wish they would. If anything, it'd make these forums a little easier to read without the giant friend code-packed signatures (though that is thankfully changing a little bit).

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
The internet is everywhere. Kids have probably seen all the bad words and stuff already, so there's no point in protecting them from the real world. Might as well let them deal with it.
