What would you like to see on the Wii's successor?
Backward compatibility with all Wii and VC games, along with GC games. Correct all alterations and bugs with VC games. High Definition DVD/BluRay compatibility CD compatibility A better sensor bar The ability to cancel the internet detection process

Blu Ray is a Sony product so zero chance of it supporting that, also GC compatibility would be unnecessary IMO, I expect it to be fully HD compatible as prices will be much more reasonable, also a hard-drive would be a must, I expect the next console to be more of an evolution like the SNES was to the NES or GC to the N64, so better wiimote controls but I kind of doubt it will be as big of a leap as the wii was when it was announced, but with Nintendo you can never really tell.
EXPERIENCE MORE.... Arcade-quality graphics, awesome sound, "turbo-charged" game play, exciting TurboChip games... It's the incredible Turbo Genesis 64 Entertainment SuperSystem Experience. There's more fun, more challenge, and more excitment ready for you today!
I dont want a new Wii 2 in the next years, Nintendo shall concentrate to make good games for the currect console. With the Wii Motion Plus, there is everything they need to make good Wii Games

I will answer to all of those in order: Yeah of course YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ............uhhhh ok? ..........................ummmmm aaalllright? how do you know the next console will have a sensor bar? even if it does have a sensor bar, whats wrong with the one we have now? ok you started out good and just went downhill...why in the f*ck would that happen. how will it find an internet connection?
Hopefully the next Nintendo console goes back to a more familiar Controller design. That, or something radically different and innovative. I just don't want to see Motion Controls for the next console
Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction. - Albert Einstein on the Wii
@cryptonic: Since I've just been told that BluRay is Sony, I suppose that's out, but DVDs would be nice (although every system since the PS2/Xbox has been a DVD player, so it's kind of redundant).
I have trouble with the sensor bar when I'm in the living room recliner, which is two yards away from the TV but the cursor is still jumpy.
What I meant by canceling the internet detection process is in case you accidentally access it. This is especially frustrating on certain games which give you no warning when they're about to detect the internet. If I accidentally set it to detect the internet in certain games, I have to wait maybe thirty seconds before it says it can't find it. Having at least a warning message would be nice. Please note that I don't have a wireless router. I use the flashdrive-size WiFi thing.
HiDef Integrated Motion Plus in the remote control 1st party wireless nunchuk Rechargeable controllers Internet browser that supports current standards Better keyboard support
...and all the obvious stuff like memory, Miis, and backward compatibility.
@pixelman A full terabyte of internal storage? Don't you think that's a bit excessive for a console or do you envision it as some kind of media centre as well? Even so, it's far more than most people would ever need and/or want and would push the price of the console up by a lot as Nintendo will never sell at a loss which puts the whole price cut idea out of the window.
Proper social-networking, a big house for every one to sit about, all your Mii frends chillin playin' games, sit down next to them if you want and join them in game. Or send a message see if they mind quittin' out for some multi something. And stats, VC/WW, achievements, tournaments, pics n vid, blogs even, just go for it. They can keep the friend-code that makes sense, but ONE code for ALL games and that's it! And external hard drive support (yeah right).

I just think a terabyte of internal flash memory would be all kinds of awesome. Download entire Wii games, DVDs, all that, and never worry about space. Also notice the bottom item in the list.
