I mean games that are excellent when you play them with GC controller in the Wii, games like Smash Bros Brawl, Mario Kart Wii or even Goldeneye or KOF Orochi Saga that are better to play with the GC controller. Because the Wii U can´t use this controllers and all our saves and downloads will be transfer to the Wii U.

It's called the classic controller Pro, looks like an Xbox 360 controller and Wii game didn't necessarily require a GC controller it was just optional. My guess is GC controllers are gone and that's that.

Technically those games dont need the GC controller to be played they just play better with the GC controller. Really all that will happen is that you will have to use another way of playing them rather than the GC controller like the Wiimote and nunchuk or the classic controller.

I'm hoping a third party makes an adapter for the Wii U and the streamlined Wii that contains GC controller ports.

ShiftyLook - Bringing back Namco classics, Step 1- Webcomics.
I help keep these threads updated: New 3DS VC games in Japan, Missing 3DS VC and Wii U VC between regions, and Full of list first party Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Gear games missing from the 3DS VC.

It's unlikely but, they released an official Wii SNES Controller, so why not a Wii GC Controller... probably reserved for Club Nintendo if it releases at all.

I say, switch to Classic Controller, N64 fans had to do the same, and all the other virtual consoles work with it great already.

Maybe some GC games on a future VC would need some updated controls to work better on the CCPro, you know, because of the GC Controller's button layout.

The N64 games of the VC are excellent with the button layout of the GC controller.

I don't think I will transfer stuff anyway. Maybe but at this point I don't see why.

@hydeks While most games works absolutely fine with the Classic Controller Pro, I still much prefer using a Gamecube controller for a lot of Wii games.
Mario Kart Wii was great with the Gamecube controller and same with Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
There's always the chance that the Wii U Pro Controller could be even more comfortable, but it's a shame to no longer have the choice of a Gamecube controller.
Who knows, they could release some sort of Gamecube controller for the Wii/Wii U in the future (or third parties could at least).
Otherwise, better start getting used to the other (perfectly adequate) alternatives.

Most Wii games I have seen don't REQUIRE the use of the GCN controller. I'm keeping my Wii though, so it doesn't really matter.

I like not having to worry about the batteries running out in the middle of a game. :P

You can always just keep your Wii and play your Wii games and VC games with the GC controller on the Wii rather than transfering them over to the Wii U thats what I plan to do.
