Final Fantasy VIII. That game made me HATE Final Fantasy back when it came out. But then I played FFVII, and it's AMAZING. After that I went back and tried to play FFVIII again...still couldn't do it. It's not for me.
Me I bought Banana Blitz on day one, but after playing the GC versions I found the controls to be really off, and haven't been able to bring myself to really play the game, I keep meaning to give it another shot, I noticed that those that never played the GC versions seemed to enjoy the wii version, is there any wii game you simply couldn't get into.
I have played the GC Versions (and still own both of them) and still love the Wii version so that argument isn't really valid.
Don't you hate it when you buy a game you've been looking forward to, you play the first few levels and go 'sweet', i think that was three months ago now. I don't even know where it is. Shameful I know. In fact I think I've just motivated myself to give it another shot.

Well that's a good result then. It's a nice game; I'll have to give it a replay on "Deadly" difficulty some time, but I've got other stuff to do first like finish Rogue Trooper and Fire Emblem, then there's Minon: Everyday Hero and Little King's Story to think of. Oh the humanity!
If I still did that I probably would have thrown in the towel on a lot of games. RE4 became so tedious at the end in good part because I had Metroid Prime 3 sitting on the shelf calling to me. Now I just mix it up and some days I'll play one thing; other days I just play a few WiiWare/VC games. I'm quite enjoying it; I feel less pressure to complete now and less like selling games I don't play regularly than I used to.
Guitar Hero. The biggest music game cash cow. Actually I can't get into any "scrolling notes" type of game. I won't say music games in general as I am one of the few who enjoys Wii Music from time to time and I absolutely love Elite Beat Agents. Just as a whole I can't get into the genre. Somehow I actually feel like a bad person because of it.

Hmm I also dont like Guitar Hero so much - playing Songs with plastic instruments feels a bit cheesy and disrespectful towards "the music itself" to me - like reducing the creative process of writing songs on pushing buttons.
I dont get so well into Zelda Games - the only one I almost finished was "Links Awakening" for Game Boy about 10 years ago . I didnt really get into "Ocarina of Time" oder "The Wind Waker" o_O, probably Ill try it again soon . Maybe the 2D Zeldas are more interesting for me, Im going to buy "A Link To The Past" if I'll get enough points for VC (Super Metroid comes first).
No More Heroes. Repetitive mook combat that was no fun, boss battles that were annoying and I got stuck at Shinobu already because I just couldn't do enough damage and she has that ultra cheap ranged attack that comes with almost no warning and must be dodged before she even really starts when you're in melee range, does the most damage of all her attacks (but mostly because everything else does pitiful damage but so do other bosses' attacks so I suppose they wanted to make boss fights last longer) and is unblockable. Doesn't help that half the time winning a saber lock gets you hit anyway. Usually I'd fall to attrition with her down to 25-30% HP and even that takes just too damn long.
I'd like to say Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but now that my copy of Melee stopped working (may it rest in peace), I have to go to Brawl for my Super Smash Bros. fix. I don't hate Brawl, but when I have the option of playing Melee over it, I'm picking Melee every time.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
