My thoughts automatically go to HD graphics, hard drive, motion controls, and backwards compatibility. Other than those things which almost seem automatic what do you as gamers think we need.

I totally agree about screwing the casuals next time, but it won't happen, they are here too stay. I am talking about what kinds of features and hardware do we want in the box.

The new Wii model needs to have a 2GB flash drive memory in the console.

I want demos for games just like xboxlive and psn. I want NO MORE FRIEND CODES. I want games that take longer than eight hours to finish. And no more mini-games sold as full games.

yea friend codes are pathetic and the whole reason for them is because nintendo just had to market the wii to little kids lol its all good but it just feels like nintendo forgot about the rest of us

Head-tracking. Look it up, some people have already got it working through homebrew on Wii. It's amazing.

L.E.D's, lots of different coloured ones that flash in pretty patterns.

How about a touch screened motion controller?

Meh, we got a DS already. That could be tricky, and battery consuming. Paying as much as a DS for one controller probably wouldn't bode too well for Nintendo. I assume the "Wii 2" controller will simply be a Wiimote-style controller woith Motion+ built in. Combine that with head-tracking, HD, and a big memory cache... And no one could compete.

  • Up-to-date Graphics (Including HD support of course)
  • Better game community (Basically like XBL)
  • Ability to transfer VC/WW games (I will not buy if this isn't possible)
  • Hard drive
  • Motion Controls (Motion+ will be the standard)
  • Achievements!

So basically everything Derick said.

HD-graphics and an solid online system w/ community, demo-support and achievements. And off course a cheap price just like the Wii had.

How about Nintendo not using the same hardware that they have been using since Nintendo 64? I mean isn't the Wii hardware an extension of the Gamecube hardware, which was an extension of the N64?

I'd like to see them start getting away from so much software (disks) and more into downloads. Give me the capacity to save them like we do on SD cards so that I'm not limited on how many I can download, but this SHOULD make games cheaper and more easily available for people to purchase. Instead of waiting for a store to get a title in, you simply log on and download it on it's release date. Anyways, that's just my two cents.
