I want to swap out my 2 GB Will SD card for a 4 GB card. The current one has Wii Ware games, VC games. save files and Rockband songs. Since I'm using it on the same Wii, can I simply transfer all the data to my PC then transfer it back to the bigger SD card? Thanks in advance for the help?
I know for a fact you can transfer games and game saves no problem. in fact, you can also download game saves others have uploaded to the internet and, so long as you have purchased and downloaded that exact same game yourself (region and all), the downloaded save will also work no problem on your own Wii.

brawl save information can't be transferred via SD, zez. when your wii goes, that's it. same for MHT, i believe, and i think a couple other games with Wi-Fi play available.

I saved the stages to the SD card though, from the game. Same with the snapshots. They disappeared when I transfered my old SD card files to my new SD card via my PC.
would doing a copy from one sd card to another make a difference? instead of moving all your saves, just copy them, then you wouldn`t lose stuff from your first sd card.
The one point to remember is that older games can't access an SDHC card. Rock Band 2, for example, transfer your songs onto a bigger than 2GB card and the game won't find any of them. And yes, copying via a computer works just fine. Done it many times myself shuffling content around... one 2GB card for Rock Band 2, one 2GB card for GH:WT, one big card for the WiiWare/VC.
