I can only think of maybe 12(At the most....and that's being generous) 'N64' games that i'd want in my collection. The GCN? Probably around 20. The Wii? As of now, I'd say 50-60 while i personally have around 27(had 40, but sold 13 of them. )

It's not hard at all to find the Wii gems, or the obvious classics. Yes, i know the system is flooded with shovel ware, but do you guys honestly play or pay attention to any of that crap? All systems have shovel ware, the NES had it in spades! There are dozons of awesome games, i honestly just don't get the wii hate. It must be Cathy Dunnaway, damn you! Damn you to hell you Rooster Face Soccer mom hehe. :p

Amazingness aside, I'd say that the N64 is possibly the worst Nintendo Console there this aside from a few amazing revolutionary titles...During that point gaming just wasn't the same and Nintendo imo went down hill after the N64's 2nd year or so. . You really had to have the best of both worlds during that genreation with both the PS1 & N64 or you really were truly missing out. Rayman, Mega Man 8, Castlevania, MMX4, Tomba! ect ect were all on the PD1 baby B-)

It's sad. You can make all the excuses in the world as to why Wii games are reviewed so poorly, but at the end of the day that's the most unbiased cohesive comparison and the wii does not fair well.

Just listing the amount of high quality, third party games the wii missed out on is depressing.

There are more than a hundred games more than 80 on the Wii so how is that sad?

How about comparing the number of exclusives? Pretty sad for others there.

The hilarious thing is, i couldn't care less for most of the exclusives OR the majority of 3rd party support on the PS3/360

Resident EVil 5 was an enormous dissapointment. BioShock 1 & 2 did nothing for me. Uncharted isn't my cup of tea. Not a fan of Halo, Gears of War or Call of Duty. Dead Rising 1 & 2 were a complete snore, Not interested in Mass Effect, Couldn't stand the controls in Dead Space 1 & 2 ect ect.

However, titles that i would of loved to have seen on wii 3rd party wise would have to be.

Mortal Kombat
Soul Calibur V
SSFIV - (even then, i'm just sick and tired of the franchise)
Contra Hard Corps: Uprising
Siren: Blood Curse - (Maybe...)
ect.

3rd party support wise I've gotta say, I'll take Zack & Wiki for the Wii over any Capcom 3rd Party PS3/XBOX 360 titl. phenomenal game! Hopefully we'll see a sequal. I'm generally just happy with one console nowadays, and that console is obviously Nintendo. I'm starting to care less and less what i'm apperantly missing out on, i don't have the time nor do i want to keep up with all of these modern video games. Give me one console and one hand held and that's that. There's already too much on both that have me completely overwhelmed. :p

That aside, i still have my PS3. So if i truly want to play some of those titles i listed above then i'll check them out. but at this point, i've got too many unplayed games in my collection and a back log of other games i want to play and those PS3 titles aren't high on the list....aside from Contra: Hard Corps B-)

I agree with Waveboy on multiple points. There are just a whole lot more Wii games that I own and want than N64 or Gamecube combined. Also the third-party exclusives really didn't tickle my fancy except for Sonic Generations and Batman Arkham City(Wii U version :D). I'm not a fan of the FPS genre and games like Uncharted were ok, but i'd much rather play SMG or DKCR. One thing I always thought funny was how well received Little Big Planet was. I thought it was a mediocre platformer but with them being so rare on the HD consoles it was like something nobody had ever seen before.

I also agree with Waveboy, the N64and Gamecube had some great games and I think there are more great games for those consoles than Waveboy but I still think the Wii has a lot more interesting games while there are around 15 PS3/360 games that interest me but there are a lot more on PS1 and PS2 so I may get a PS2 at some point for those but I'm still undecided on that.

I've Double Dragon-dabbled here and there into LittleBigPipsqueek and for me it was a creative yet boring experience....I've never been into character customization and level creation so right off the bat i knew i wasn't going to enjoy that aspect(which is basically thee' main aspect) while the platforming was a snooze and a half.

But yup! I'm not into the FPS genre at all unless it's a first person adventure(Metroid Prime 1-3) or survival horror with Wii Pointer controls. I've already said this too many times to count, but i won't do 'dual analog' anymore with the only exception being ZombiU(damn you Ubi for not including pointer controls as a 2nd option)....Hopefully the Wii U screen innovations will deliver! Even so, i'd rather have those awesome pointer controls, which would make for a far more intuitive, engrossing and immersive experience. If ZombiU only had traditional controls with no Wii U game pad screen elements i'd pass on it in a Zombie Romero heard beat. :p

Only genre I think the wii lacked in was rpgs in my books. Honestly the best thing was to get two systems one for nintendo stuff and an xbox for everything else.

Also waveboy how did you like dead space and alan wake.

Yeah, nobody played LittleBigPlanet for the platforming. They played it so they could make their own stages and show it off to their friends. With that said, LBP2 is so much the better game it's not even funny. The singleplayer is a blast in comparison, and the customization lets you do loads more, you don't even have to make them platformers, you can make Shmups or RPGs or Racing games if you want to.

in my opinion the Wii had the best Library of games compared to the PS3/360.

It had variety.
Didn't have a game come out starring "same generic tough guy" starring in "dull boring brownish world".
Made FPS more fun with motion controls. (Play Metroid prime trilogy and tell me I'm wrong.)
Backwards compatibility with gamecube and the VC store. Sorry PS3 can't play the more amazing ps2 games D:
and it didn't have the whole "hardcore" crowd.

of course the wii was not without it's flaws.
Online was not there (well it was in MHtri)
Third party games were mostly piss poor compared to the other consoles.
The wii shop channel and it's problems.
Friend codes!!!! Run for the hills!
the fact Motion plus came too late in the cycle. Imagine if it was there in the beginning?? a man can dream...
Motion controls for most third party games were awful.

And I didn't state the whole graphics thing because the Wii was perfectly capable of making games look amazing. Skyward sword, Mario Galaxy, muramasa, Kirby's epic yarn. The blame mainly falls on the fact how the Wii was designed. from what I've read, developing a nice looking game on wii was very confusing compared to Xbox360 ps3 and more time consuming. So most developers didn't bother trying to make their games look nice because of this. Which is understandable.

What genre do the other consoles not have? lol

They have three times the critically acclaimed games of the Wii yet people think they're all the same. And yet Nintendo fans criticize others for not doing their research when it comes to the Wii's library.

Irony.

Well I personally find about 1/3 or so of my 360 games (at least 50 retail titles) to be overrated and mediocre at absolute best, almost all of which despite critically and commercially success (which almost never happens as I am fairly easy to amuse and even something like Other M would be like a 5/10 for me, for example). But yes, fanboys are consistently ignorant and hypocritical. Wow, what insight into something no one's ever known. Did you get an award for your groundbreaking ideas?

Yeah, I have more good Wii games than I do for the PS3 or 360, and I actually found the Wii pretty disappointing. Granted, I still got a dozen PS3 games left to get, but I also got a dozen wii games left to get, too. Of course, none of those consoles are as good as last gen. I got over 100 PS2 games and over 50 Gamecube games, hardly any of which I'd ever want to get rid of. I can't say that for any of my current gen consoles. There's barely any current gen games left coming out that I want, too, whereas there are quite a few old games that I still need to get.

No, you still would be wrong. You'd be very wrong. Because metacritic scores do not denote a games' existance. Just because it has a score below 85 does not mean it no longer exists. They are and will always be there. If you ignore their existance for such an arbitary reason, that's your problem. You'll still be wrong when you complain that X console doesn't have games in y genre, and you'll have to deal with the fact that you look like an idiot for doing so.
