Why are there assumptions about the Wii not having many good games? Is it because it's only the first-party titles that make it good? Or is it perhaps you don't know it's library well enough?
Of course it has many good games other than just the first-party titles, and here's why:
Below is a list of good Wii games, at least some of which you either may or may not be aware of. I decided not to include WiiWare and Virtual Console games because those would need it's own lists.

A lot of people would rather have those games force-fed to them and won't think to actually look for stuff. Sometimes it can be daughting (I'm trying to find some good comic books, and the search is turning out poorly so far), but for games, it's pretty easy since you can look up reviews and videos (without spoiling the whole thing like you would with a movie trailer).

I completely agree with this. The Wii is my favourite console yet there are so many ignorant people who say that the Wii is crap for core gamers and only good for casual games when there are various videos on youtube like the one you posted that showcase the mass of awesome games that the Wii has.
I remember this awesome video where some guy where he basically just stared at the camera and showed random Wii games for like 3 minutes without saying anything. It was pretty awesome.
wii does have good games i mean seriously skyward sword mario galaxy mario kart wii xenoblade last story all these good games makes wii a good gameing console but wii u dont be so quick to judge like i did cause the only game i buy would be pikmin 3

However, I think that there are few AMAZING games on it - that's the problem. The 360 and PS3 (from what I hear) each have their fair share of absolutely brilliant games, as well as many other excellent games covering a variety of genres.
In contrast, the Wii has a small number of standout games, and then a whole bunch of very good or excellent games that don't quite make it 'classic' status. There's nothing wrong with that, but in this day and age of "anything that doesn't get 90+ on Metacritic is bad", the Wii doesn't stack up that well to the other consoles when using that as a judge of quality.
Also, as Mickeymac said, you look at the "Top X" games for Wii and it's always the same few. That also gives the impression of few quality games. To even really hear about the others, you'll need to go looking.

I've actually played all those games you named and found some to be good-but-not-great (Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean), and the rest to be utterly mediocre. A lot of them are sub-par sequels, too. But agree to disagree and all that...

I've found a surprising number of games were very overrated on 360, particularly before 2009. And not in a way where "oh I don't like it but I get why others do", and not just as hype backlash, because I make fun of popular things I haven't seen or played plenty of times and often I end up really enjoying them. And not because they are FPSs, as I love FPSs and even liked the first Modern Warfare. It's just that a lot of the most praised games, mainly shooters, on 360...weren't that good. They were just forgettable. And normally I'd point I can't say for PS3 but it took them a while to get a lot of exclusives, at least exclusives most people have heard of. But it would be hypocritical to discount games most people haven't heard of so...I dunno...
