I was just wondering how many of you play more than one game at a time in your gaming life.

I seem to have developed the inability play more than one game at a time, meaning once I start playing a game I can't move onto another until I have completed it. This isn't the case for all games, for example I can occasionally have a quick round of Mario Golf Toadstool Tour, a bout on Soul Calibur 2 or a few races on Mario Kart Wii; but for games that have an in-depth storyline, such as TLoZ: Twilight Princess, I am unable to start another game that involves a lot of time, such as Super Mario Galaxy 2 or Metroid Prime Trilogy.

@warnerbrother - I'm horrible at playing one game. I always try to play one game at a time, but that tends to give way to one game per console at a time. Case in point--started Chrono Trigger a couple weeks ago again (wanted to get all 13 endings on the same file), then managed to start Ocarina of Time (Cube version), Ys: Ark of Napishtim (PSP), and Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time (PS3) within a few days of it. I'm really bad about keeping loyal to one game once I hit a boring part....but yeah, I'd say I'm almost always spinning plates with all consoles simultaneously (and my completion rate is much worse these days than it used to be when I had more time to game)

I don't finish games that often, especially RPGs, but as of right now according to my BL Now Playing list, I'm playing 6 RPGs, 1 Puzzle game, 1 Arcade game, 5 Platformers, 1 Adventure game, and 1 Action game, making a total of 15 games I'm "currently playing".

Of course, I'm not really playing all of these games, I have most of them up there either because I've played them in the last week, or I want to be playing them but haven't been for various reasons. Right now I'm really only playing LittleBigPlanet 2 (PS3), Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (DS), and then Peggle of course.

I try to limit myself to one game/console, but I'm pretty bad at it. Right now I'm playing:
LoZ:ALttP
Bit.Trip Beat
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Pokemon Soul Silver
Cave Story

All this means is I don't have time to finish any of them. Bad Me! I'd like to limit myself to one game per console (with also other pick up and play games for short sessions, but I don't really count those).

I play my DS games while playing my computer games or Wii games sometimes, and sometimes I play my Wii games and my computer games together, but never all three. I just can't do that.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

i jump around a lot -- usually i'll get bored at a certain point in a game or i'll want to try something else for a while to cleanse my palate, so to speak. i've got a game of Golden Sun going that i need to get back into eventually, i just finished Ghost Trick and need to play it through again, i'm currently powering through to the end of 4HoL after a months-long hiatus, i've got light trax to play off and on, plus NSMBW to finish eventually, lol... it just depends on what's captured my interest at any given point in time. i'm also pretty horrible for multitasking with games, like i'll be chatting and playing, or messing around on facebook and playing, or even playing a flash game while i'm playing a DS game (done that before with stuff you have to wait on other people to take turns, haha), etc. and so forth :3

I play more than one game all the time. I get more done when I focus on just one though, but I like going from game to game. I normally end up playing more than one from buying a new game before I finish the one I'm on lol.

With the exception of when i was playing Oblivion, i don't think i ever play just one game at a time. Perhaps one game per console, if like i'm really into a particular retail/disc game, but usually even then i'll mix it up with some XBLA or VC/Wiiware.

I pretty much stick to one game at a time in till I get bored with it, I might throw on Mario Kart like you said or Wii Sports Resort for a round or two but for the most part I stick to one game.

It's kinda like reading more then one book at a time which I never do, I'll start one and then move on to something unless when I'm done with it.

I always play 5-10 games at once, I'm too easily distracted so I just play whatever I happen to be in the mood for. I faintly recall a time when I'd play one game from start to finish before I started something else, but that must have been about 15 years ago and was probably because I didn't have that many games. As long as I don't play too many of the same genre at once, it's not really a problem. (But 10 RPGs at once probably would be.)

I'm usually playing 2-3 games at the same time.

I don't have much difficulty managing that, as long as they're all a different genre. I seem to have problems playing multiple RPGs at once.

I'm working on a game that's coming out soon!

Actually, I'm quite the opposite. Usually I skip around between games, only playing one or two regularly for about two weeks before moving on to new ones. Unfortunately, for this reason I often don't finish games that take more than 10 hours to complete for more than a year after I bought them. I think the reason I like to do this is because I get stuck or bored with a game after playing it regularly for more than a week or two, and playing a different game helps keep things moving. Also, when I go back to a game that I haven't played for a while it makes it feel like new, and sometimes I can have a different perspective on it than the first time I played it.

I play more than one game quite regularly. I play a game until I get stuck, and then move onto a new game and play that until I get stuck of it. And then I go back to the previous game. And repeat. It's very rare that I'll only be playing one game at a time.

Try playing Chrono Trigger, FF 6, and Earthbound all at the same time. I can't tear myself away from any of them, so to stop playing them is impossible. Sometimes I just need to pop in an FPS and play the RPG away

I do play a few games at a time, but I keep it at 1 game per console. Right Now I'm playing Trauma Team for Wii, Pokemon Platinum and Last Window: Secret of Cape West on DS, and Plants Vs. Zombies on PC. I broke my 1 game rule with Platinum and last window. I had just started playing Platinum when Last WIndow came in the mail, there was no way I was going to wait any longer to play it.

For playing games simultaneously, playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon while playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is surprisingly un-enjoyable.
So I usually play Fire Emblem (console version) with Pokemon (handheld version).

For long term game playing, if a game has an in-depth story, then I usually play that game exclusively (although, I will play another game that's on a different platform).
