Topic: System update not working

I've been having a hard time updating my system and as a result I'm not able to play recent games. When I try to perform an update it gives me error code 32004 which I've looked up and says the Internet is disconnecting or it could be the system is modified and won't update. My Wii may have been modified at some point so I'm wondering if there's any possible way to somehow to an update with a modified Wii. Is there any way around this?

The wii doesn't have online other than the shop and cod I belive. What games can you not play?

I think updates should still work, it's just the game's online that was cut.

Maybe it is because you modified the system. Can it be formatted?

NFL madden 12. Before I can load the game it tells me I have to do a system update to continue. I've even tried formatting and that hasn't helped. Even before starting a new connection after I formatted, I couldn't load the game without having to do the update.

@MorphMarron He is correct the b*neheads at EA forced a online client patch for the game when you boot it up and without the Wi-fi connect the game's completely useless.

So it's a problem with the game and not the system?

Then I guess you shouldn't worry about updating the system.

It's actually both. The game won't start up without downloading an online client patch that I can't download(can't download an update) apparently because the Wii was modified with homebrew.

Well then I guess you just need to forget about that game or get another Wii.
