Anyone else playing this? it's great, it reminds me of Cursed Mountain, ir's not as long but finding the journal pages let you unlock shooting galleries and they are really good!

I just dismissed this game as one of those silly Cabela's hunting games (it's just not a genre that I'm interested in). I did enjoy Cursed Mountain though, so maybe I should take a look at it. How are the controls in this game?

It's a third person game, you use the nunchuck to walk, a lot of mountain climbing in this game, ocasionally you are attacked by a bear or something and then you use the Wii remote to point and shoot. Like Cursed Mountain, it's very unique and might not appeal to everyone but I really like it. The shooting galleries are fun also but I like the regular Cabela's hunting games...

Darn you Nintendo, my backlog is already out of control and you are just making it worse with these new game announcements!!!!

SteveW

You don't need a gun, you can just aim the Wii remote and shoot, the trigger is on the nunchuck though.

no, you are kind of limited to only the areas you need to go to.

It looks stupid IMHO

Hey SteveW - I hope you still check the Wii subforum! I finally got this game! It was only $8 at Gamestop with the gun. The gun attachment is nice, but I think I prefer the zapper. This one is kind of heavy.

I think I've played through about a quarter of the story, and I tried one level each of the Trek and Survival shooting galleries. I really like it so far. It has a nice variety of enemies, and I like how they throw some random stuff in to break up the climbing and shooting, like the dogsled. The shooting galleries are fun and look like they'll add a lot of replay value.

Do you know if any of the other hunting games have a decent third person story mode? If they do, I might check them out.
