Seeing as Corbie hasn't answered, i'll ask my two questions here. I hated the purple coin missions in the forst one, so are there less in this one. How hard is it? ONM said that you'll struggle if you haven't completed the first one and I currently have 84 stars but I'm not sure how many I'll have by the time I get SMG2.

The best game of all time has landed. I repeat, the best game of all time has landed. Over and out. i picked free shipping on amazon and i still only got it two days late! go amazon!
I ordered it the same way and also picked free shipping, but the tracking currently doesn't seem to indicate that I'll be getting it today. That's for the better anyhow, as I wanted to at least come close to finishing Luigi's stars in the first game before beginning this one.

I must say that as a huge Mario Sunshine fan, I got a big kick out of the StarShine Beach Galaxy. Who knew we'd ever get to see Chucksters in a Mario game ever again! One of the levels that I've been most impressed with so far is the Chompworks Factory place--there's some really interesting puzzle-solving type stuff going on there, and it struck me as being very unique for a Mario game.

@Kid_A: I agree about the Chompworks Factory. That was a great level, and the puzzle solving stuff was pretty cool. I prefer the first star in that level, the second one is too short.
The Game.
Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

I've only done a couple purple coin challenges thus far, but they've felt much more balanced and fun than the first Galaxy game. But it really depends on your taste; I personally didn't mind the comets in the first Galaxy, so really enjoying the challenge this time around. However, there are much more of them in Galaxy 2, so if you absolutely despise them you might want to think twice. One thing that's interesting, though, is that the comets are sort of unlockable--each galaxy has a hidden "comet coin" within it. If you find it, you can play that Galaxy's comet challenge. It's a better set up, I think, and it makes the comets feel more like a reward and less like a forced hassle.

Yeah, surprisingly short, that second star. Although I will say it was much more challenging...a lot of that had to do with Spring Mario being fairly finicky. One thing I like is that the second star is often a more challenging variation of the first. Like the Fliptop Town (or whatever it's called). The first star involves the flipping gates, but the second one involves the drill. Same level, but you go about completing it in a very different way.
