Another good game would be "The Grudge"

In regards for the parent whose thread got locked:
Mario Galaxy games are excellent for anyone of any skill level. Always a top pick. Mario Kart Wii is fun too. On that note, pretty much anything with Mario's face on it would be a good pick (excluding Mario Party 9 and the Olympics games. Your son would probably want something a bit more than that.)
Kirby games are fun, pretty easy to beat too.
If you feel that your child is up to the challenge, you could get him Donkey Country Returns. Since he can get through alot of Super Mario World, he can probably get through a good portion of it.
Also, if your Wii can connect to the internet, I HIGHLY suggest World of Goo and Motoheroes. Two very excellent games.

No way, man. I see no child surviving that game without adult assistance. There's a point in Mario Galaxy where it stops being fun and starts being frustrating. I was pulling my hair out collecting my last 10 power stars. Those comets are tough and the purple ones manage to be both boring and frustrating. I do not look forward to playing through it a second time.

...in my pants.

Lan

Tatsunoko vs Capcom. The controls are super easy with just a wiimote, you can button mash through the whole game, and it's nice and colorful.

Lots of censorship here...

A kid probably won't go for all 120. Also, Mario Galaxy is my personal favorite game ever made. I've played through it about 4 times as of right now, and will eventually go on a fifth. We all have differences in opinions.
On a side note, I found the game to be pretty easy, especially when compared to Sunshine and 64. I had no trouble getting every star when I first got it, and I'm not exactly an amazing gamer.
