Are you serious!? The Wii has awesome upcoming games like Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Metroid:Other M, Monster Hunter 3, and many other games. I cannot believe you dislike your Wii!
You can't blame him I felt the same way with my 64 what I did was sell the games I knew I would never come back to, and eventually realized how good the games are that I have.

He's going to regret selling all of it at one time.

Apparently, the recession hasn't hit your household yet!
I don't get why you would buy so much stuff just to sell it back for way less than you invested in it. The logic is bizarre.
EXPERIENCE MORE.... Arcade-quality graphics, awesome sound, "turbo-charged" game play, exciting TurboChip games... It's the incredible Turbo Genesis 64 Entertainment SuperSystem Experience. There's more fun, more challenge, and more excitment ready for you today!
I'm sure he enjoyed the stuff while he had it... it's not like he bought all this stuff for the sole purpose of losing money later. It's pretty ordinary logic to sell things once you're done with them for less than you bought it.

So I decided to keep my Wii after all after some deliberation. I did post it on craigslist, but noone was biting on the original asking price and when I re-posted with a lower price tag my ad got removed for some odd reason - might have posted again too soon. At that point I just decided to wait a little and think things through a bit more.
Yeah, so I'll be keeping it mostly for Virtual Console and WiiWare games. I only see myself buying the odd retail release now that really has my interest a la Silent Hill, SMG 2, etc.
It's funny how I said I was planning to get rid of it because I was spending too much money on this stuff. I probably still am. Oh well. In the meantime I've picked up an iPod Touch, which turns out to be fantastic for pick-up-and-play on the go - even better than my DS in some respects - and I've also acquired a PS3 Slim this last Friday which I've been enjoying a great deal. Currently in process of finishing up my rental of RE5. Pretty good game and very well put together. Alas, after playing RE4 on Wii the controls on RE5 seem so backwards just as I've imagined. That isn't enough to put a damper on things though.
Anyway, yes, I'm going to stick to a lot more rentals vs purchase for a lot of games now. Financially speaking it's a lot more sound. As said, I'm only going to fork over my hard-earned cash for the games I'm positive I'm going to play for a good while and which I'm likely to want to keep. I just can't afford to keep buying games and sell them back at a much depreciated price.
Mario Forever! (free nipple suit and gratuitous butt-shots included) PSN: MisterMumbles82
Yeah, $1000 seems about right, but you have to make sure to make sure you tell them everything and say how good of a deal, how much the bundle would cost separately, etc
Oh Machu, you and your irrational hatred of everything Apple... :3
