eh, fair enough. I can pretty easily see why people wouldn't get into Prime 1 or 2 as they have some weird gameplay and the shooting is more based on dodging.

Also while I think how they presented it and the details via scans and whatnot make the stories interesting and unique, I can see people being disappointed at it. The same way I was disappointed when I finally got into SNES JRPGs and realized they mostly had cliched stories with characters I only care about half the time (...though like Prime, I do like those stories).

Well, after playing Other M more, I am enjoying it more. I will not recant any statement regarding the subpar gameplay quality BUT I am enjoying the game.

So how was Metroid Prime Hunters a boring game?

It wasn't bad at all, in fact I'd prefer it over Prime 1 and 2. It was pretty fun, especially the online multiplayer. I remember it being a bit short but sweet.

Well...I beat Other M. I guess I can't complain; it was 5 bucks and a dang fun ride, regardless of the slightly subpar gameplay quality. Now I'm trying to get 100% completion before getting Adam's helmet. Yes, I know about this because videos on the Internet. But, I didn't entirely spoil the story for myself, thankfully. I'm just wondering, why did Adam have to sacrifice himself? Couldn't he have disconnected that part of the Bottle Ship without actually entering it? Also, who exactly was the Deleter?

He had to die and leave Samus wanting more that way she'll never be attracted to another man. Had he survived there would have been an eventual hook-up and then they fall in love and then the fans get mad because nobody likes when a sexy lady is not single because we all like to believe we have a chance with her. Note this is not the real reason in the story but it's the real reason behind what the developers were thinking.

MB is the main controller of the Bottle Ship throughout the game, being able to interact with the ship telepathically. Adam has no means to disconnect that sector at that point in the game, as he's no longer in a position to compete for control like he had been earlier, nor do I believe he knew that a whole sector had been devoted to the unfreezable Metroids until MB revealed Sector Zero to Samus. MB uses Sector Zero as a trap for Samus, not informing her of the unfreezable Metroids, the self-destruct and detach sequence of the sector and of Nightmare waiting for her just a few rooms before the sector's entrance. Factor in her control of the ship, and she intends to kill whoever steps into that sector, hoping that it'll be Samus. Adam makes sure that that doesn't occur.

Most people believe the Deleter is James Pierce, but I would say the Deleter is a fabrication created by MB to make Samus doubt the intentions of Platoon 7's members.

Eh...I enjoyed it, yeah those "scanning" parts or whatever were kinda unnecessary but still was a fun game. (just not as good as Retro's games)

I love Erica (Strike Witches), Eureka (Eureka Seven), and Tenma (School Rumble), stay away from them. xD
Update: Also love Yukari and Mizore from Rosario + Vampire.
Another Update: Also Yuuki...from School Rumble...
Yet Another Update: Also Amber and Xiao Pai from Rune Factory 4.

I enjoyed my time with the game, and wasn't bothered by the story or cutscenes, I enjoyed , my time with them really. I will agree that the scanning was terrible, and that Metroid Prime would be the better game, but I never compared the two and enjoyed Other M.

I'm gonna try again.

I bought for $50 at launch, and thought it was worth every penny. The story is what I liked most about it.

Yeah...I have to say that I had more fun with Other M than I did with the Prime games. Even though it wasn't as polished or well designed, or as long, I had a better time. And, I got it for 5 bucks. I guess I had to play through it before reaching a solid conclusion.

Question: which version of samus did you like better prime or other M ( I mean Samus under the helmet). I thought prime's samus looked too butch.

I'm already used to Prime's Samus (the one used in Brawl and all that). Dunno how to explain why I don't care for M's looks and all. >.>

@mamp, Other M Samus. I agree she looks a bit butch in all except Prime 3; in that one she resembled SSBB Samus. Other M Samus looks more feminine and also more determined/tough.

Shockingly I mostly prefer Other M's look. The Prime look fit the fairly slower gameplay perfectly but it will never not be sillier looking. The only Prime look that looked awesome would be the Light suit and that was only after hours upon hours of the hilarious Dark Suit look.

@kkslider5552000 I agree. That and the PED Suit were the best from the Prime series.

This Sunday, August 31st, will mark the 3 year anniversary of the greatest Wii game ever to grace the console!
At least here in North America it was that date...

In celebration of this momentous event, I am going to give Other M another playthru this Sunday.
This will be my 3rd time...

Ahh.....I can remember 3 years ago just like it was yesterday. The warm feelings of nostalgia are almost too much for me to bear. :O
