Topic: SMB3/SMW Remakes?

Have you ever wished Nintendo would remake the two awesome Mario games - SMB3 and SMW, with more features than ever before?

no. those games were perfect the way they were. i wouldn't mind seeing new levels for them, but otherwise, leave them alone.

I don't want that. They're fantastic the way they are.
Also, didn't they do that on the GBA, which had more features?

Don't see why, There Great Games, no need for an remake.

@lz2010 Fair enough, the Tanooki and Hammer Brother suits are awesome, and should be in more Mario Games.

New SMB Wii is basically the beautiful lovechild of those two games

They are classic games and I think they still hold up very well today. No need for a remake in my opinion.

They both were already remade for the GBA with extra features and in the case of SMB3 levels (with the e-reader).

Well, Mindspace were going to make a pseudo sequel to Super Mario World called "Super Mario's Wacky Worlds" on the CDI, the Backdrops were photographs of different places around the world, the ones I saw was an Egyptian Pyramid and an Arctic glacier. The the Enemies would wear something related to that world, Koopa Troopers wore Anubus heads for the Egypt World, and Gombas wore little fluffy Eskimo coats. However the game never got release, and from what I heard, even though it was a Mario game, the controls were horrible compared to Super Mario World/Bros 3.

Could do, but let's remember that Mindscape made Mario's Missing, Mario in Time and Mario Hotel...

EDIT: Oh wait, a lil' lie there, Philips Interactive made Mario Hotel, not Mindscape. Still, it's a horrible game...

Well, maybe if they let Nintendo take over... it sounds like an interesting premise, at least.
