Topic: Similar game to New Super Mario Bros

Hi, am not huge on games etc but me and my bloke have had great fun playing super mario, can anybody recommend another similar 2 player game where both players are equal? We got mario galaxy but were pretty disappointed that player 2 doesn't really do much. Thank you

Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby Epic Yarn and Metal Slug Anthology.
Coperative/Plataformers.
Both Players do the same except in Donkey Kong Returns(Diddy got a peanut gun and a Barrel Jet Pack)

You might want to check out Donkey Kong Country Returns. It is also a platformer like Super Mario Bros. Wii which allows 2 players to play at the same time.I haven't played it but the videos on the net looks brilliant. Just a word of warning, many players on this forum have mentioned that the difficulty level is rather steep. Ninrendolife gave this game a 10/10.

@90's Gamer She said specifically she was looking for 2-player games where both players have equal "power". Klonoa is single player only AFAIK.

Thank you We don't mind difficult - Mario was basically completed within a couple of weeks... although we don't have all the coins yet and have been redoing the levels to get them. Will give donkey King and Kirby a go.

Sonic Colours is primarily a single player affair but does has a multiplayer component(in both versions) it might be worth checking out.

As has been mentioned Donkey Kong Country Returns can have levels that are challenging and would
probably be more challenging then Kirby. DKCR isn't out until next week in Europe and Kirby's Epic Yarn
won't be out in Europe until next year.

DKCR is out tomorrow in Europe and some people already have their copies(like me)!

DKCR was already released over here, just like Mario All-Stars. Both since Monday actually DKCR is in my opinion a far better game than NSMB Wii.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Lego Star Wars for Wii. It helps if you were a Star Wars fan to begin with, but I do believe both players are equal for the most part if you'd like to give it a go. All the Lego games control similarly iirc, and there's Batman, Indiana Jones, and now Harry Potter available i believe.
