Yea it's going to be awesome. I posted this during E3, so it kind of got lost in the habub, but it and Golden Sun were my two favorite announcements that day.

Is this some kind of dungeon exploration game? Turn-based combat or otherwise? Large epic story or no? Endless grinding involved? Educate the clueless oh fans of the series!

It's a live-action dungeon crawler that's very hard, and not for the faint of heart. If you die, you lose your items unless they're stashed away, and start over from the beginning. They're niche titles, and completely awesome. The dungeons are usually randomly generated, like Baroque which I also enjoyed. The story probably won't be overly epic, but enjoyable. You can get a remake of the original published by Sega for the DS under the title Mystery Dungeon: Shiren The Wanderer.
You can watch the Japanese trailer, and some other info here; http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2009/06/atlus_announces_shiren_th...

Yeah, there is a Siren the Wanderer: Mystery Dungeon for DS and I believe that you can still pick up a copy of this game cheap at Best Buy, GameStop or even Walmart. The new one is the third in the series and it looks really impressive on the Wii too. If you ever played Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon it is very similar to that game. Funny, I never liked the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon titles but I absolutely loved Shiren the Wanderer! I think Izuna: The Unemployed Ninja is what got me into these games. Be warned, the first Shiren game was brutally hard but don't worry, I read on 1UP.com that the Wii version is going to tone down the difficulty "slightly". They are also putting in some really nice cut scenes too. If I find out more information I'll be sure to post it here.
