It depends. Things that went out of print are awfully expensive now. So it does not always pay to wait so long. When I got my Wii in 2008 I wanted Wind Waker and that was truly pricy and hard to find, as was Pikmin 2. Excitetruck is a hard to find Wii game.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

I to have a love / hate relationship with my Wii. Motion controls are a gimmick to me still. Mario Galaxy for example i could cope with as it wasn't too instense. But annoyingly playing DKC returns have to shake my remote to do a ground pound annoyed me a lot. Still, its a good time to be buying games for it now price wise. Plus play them through HDMi on your Wii U and they look a lot crisper than they used to.

everyone needs to relax and enjoy the games that are released today and stop worrying what Nintendo will do in a year or two from now.

I'm finding many Wii games that are HIGHER in price now than around 2011-2012. I do think prices will go back down in time (in fact, it's certain), but at the moment, prices for many nice condition and sealed Wii games are high as collectors fill out their checklist.

Yeah, Nintendo needs to hurry up with the Wii U eshop digital download of Radiant Dawn. Sure I own the disc, but that game supports Wii Classic Controller which means the Gamepad will be supported.

Yeah, I've seen that too. Back in 2013 or so, a lot of Wii games were really cheap, but now prices for a lot of Wii games have gone up, not to even mention the rare ones.

Nintendo really should extend the Nintendo Selects line further, perhaps include third-party games too, while they're still printing Wii games. Imagine: Xenoblade Chronicles with a Nintendo Selects price.
