I've had my Red Mario anniversary Wii for as long as I can remember. It had a blast playing with it as a kid, but it sadly broke due to the disk being jammed into it. I'm now a teenager and realized how many games I missed out on (I only had Wii fit, New Mario Wii, and Wii Sports). So, do you guys think I should get my old Wii repaired, or get a pre-owned Wii? I'm worried that my old Wii will have more problems than I remember due to its age in a broken state.
@GuyWithATV
You might find some repairman's shop somewhere, because as @ReaderRagfish noted, if you want some official craftmanship to stitch up your console then you're 5#17-out of luck.
You're better off with some repairman doing the job, or by straight-out buying an used one. You might even get lucky and find a modded one, one with all kinds of crazy games pre-installed, or a combination of both.
I don't quite have lots o' loot, because I'm from the Boot.
My Wii can play Gamecube games, and I decideto repair it. I don't want to risk buying a Wii that can't play Gamecube games or is from another region. I'm going to a local repair shop I know to fix it soon. Wish me luck!
@GuyWithATV Best of luck! I remember that Wii model, the colour of the console and Wii Remote is very nice. It's probably just jammed and that shouldn't be expensive.
@GuyWithATV I just bought a used wii at an estate sale with a bunch of games and 4 controllers with nunchuks for $35. I don't know if you will be able to find a deal like that, but if you look at thrift stores, craigslist, ebay, estate sales, maybe you'll be able to get a really good price. Just make sure you test it first or get a guarantee if you can.
