Appears to be a enemy that was supposed to be implemented in the 'Twilight Realm' of the game.
A beta version of Twilight Princess included an enemy called the "Armos Titan".However, this enemy was never included in the final version of the game. These Armos look a little more like traditional Armos statues but have no weapons and attack with their hands. Unlike the other Armos, this one's diamond is placed on its chest and can be successfully hit by shooting three arrows or one Bomb Arrow at it. It appears to have been replaced by the hammer-wielding Armos seen in the final version of the game that shares the same gem-like weak point. Armos Titan slightly resemble the Sacred Grove Guardians.

@JumpMad Spider boss? That's in the Temple of Time! Unless you're talking about another spider boss?
I wish they kept the magic metre, ah well. But as JumpMad said, this news is old!
I still remember seeing something like that, something about Link running through a tunnel with a giant freaky spider of some sort chasing him. Could have been a beta version of Armogohma, who knows.
@BellGoRiiing Yup, thats the Spider I was talking about. heres the Video of it. [youtube:m83hLQkbgk4]

Goron Golem The Goron Golem in its complete formThe Goron Golem is one of several beta enemies (enemies intended to be put in a game but never fully implemented for whatever reason) for Twilight Princess. It is composed of numerous Gorons curled up in balls, which float up in the air and form together into a giant monster.
looking back at these makes the game look like it's gonna be so amazing... then you play it now and it doesn't live up to the hype at all.
That had nothing to do with it being a bad game. The reason it didn't live up to the hype was because it was a "traditional" Zelda game, and everyone was expecting something really different and new. Now it's one of the most underrated games in the series just because it didn't change a lot.

Which is what they wanted btw.
People are hopelessly stupid like that.
Yeah...they can never be happy. Only problem the game had was the difficulty, other than that I loved the game. Felt like watching a movie half the time too. (in other words, character animation was awesome)

wow way to judge. Yes I am a Zelda fan but no I didn't want a same old Zelda type.
I wanted a newer experience like the WW gave the series. But sadly the "Over the top" fans hated WW and it didn't do well in the beginning, knowing this Nintendo decided to go back and just do what the other Games did.
and I am very happy with the series. I just wish it would have been more creative like: Wind Waker Majora's Mask Links's Awakening Oracle of Ages/Seasons
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

Well, Twilight Princess does go back to the traditional gameplay which we haven't seen since Ocarina so wouldn't that be kind of a good thing?
I mainly like Twilight Princess for kinda being another attempt at being a more traditional Zelda, except with an actual worthwhile story, characters and dialogue. And also bigger and better versions of everything. Of course despite Retro seemingly doing a million times more things with Donkey Kong Country recently I still thought it was barely as good as the original (and not as good as 2), so I can see why people could disagree.
Honestly after this I do hope they keep doing different things for Zelda. I was just glad to see a traditional Zelda game I liked as much as the ones I prefer.
