I never listened to X-Play anyway. Their reviews have always been amusing, but not really anything I took seriously.

@The Fox. I still think Olivia Munn is cuter...

It's close, but you're probably right.

I used to love X-play, but once this current gen of gaming started morgan & adam seem to have abandoned the "brutally honest reviews" for "xbox gets a 4 minimum, ps3 gets a 3 min & wii gets a 2 maximum" rating system, no matter what. I've seen so many reviews they do that they slam every aspect of the game, they hate the controls, they hate the story, they hate the camera, but since it's on the 360 or ps3 it gets a good score because it has pretty graphics, then review a wii game, they won't even give it a chance simply because it's a Wii title.

No More Heroes, 5/5
Super Mario Galaxy, 5/5
Twilight Princess, 5/5.

I think both ratchet and clank as well as mario galaxy are aimed at a general audience from kids to adults. Nothing "insulting" about either one. Some of the story stuff in mario is lame and kiddy but the game itself should appeal to any age.

C'mon seriously... we all know deep down that the only reason G4 keeps Morgan Webb around is because they know that she makes thousands of basement dwellers bust a nut every time she's on. Nobody really-really thinks she's actually somebody that knows much about videogames.... considering what she said about SMG and what she said on this video here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8kd9uHwVng

And I find it funny how ppl say Mario games are easy and imply that those R&C games are harder to beat, thus aimed at adults. When in reality R&C games aren't exactly hard at all. I played Tools of Destruction and it was extremely easy (mainly because the weapons were way too powerful). Right up there with those Spongebob games from THQ. Hell, my 6 year old niece can get through most levels and only near the end do I have to help her out.

R&C4 (Deadlock) was also criminally easy.

However, the games (SMG and R&C) are quite fun. That's the whole point behind their creation.

What an idiot. I don't think Mario Galaxy is just for kids at all. My parents and my uncles and aunts enjoy the game, too. Like Ricardo91 said, apparently every game that doesn't involve shooting things is immediately a kid's game.

I can't watch that video. Reggie is too funny. He should be a rapper.

Try to watch it ... near the end you'll see Morgan Webb making an idiot of herself (but clearly not for the last time).

Doesn't surprise me. These "big corporations" in the gaming industry (it already sickens me that I have to call it an industry) give amazing reviews to games that might as well deserve it, but it is apparent that the number is nowhere near how they actually feel about the game. It says a lot about these game websites, and I'm still having a tough time deciding whether or not IGN or XPlay are the worst gaming resources to go to. I've played all the Ratchet & Clank games on the PS2, none on the PS3 versions yet, and if the Future titles are anything like the PS2 titles...there's mostly gunplay with platformer too a minimal. It's still a platformer in it's own right, but they compare a game with the majority being not platforming to a game series that's pretty much 95% platforming, and calling it a better platformer. Sticking your foot in your mouth a bit far now.

By the way, what's worse about that segment? The fact that Morgan said Galaxy is for kids, or the fact that the douchebag guy (Like I care what his name is) agreed saying "Well yea, it's for the Wii."

Hell yeah! I liked how she was that girl in Parry Gripp's music video for "The Girl at the Video Game Store".

(Off-topic) The song
rocks!
Back on topic, I'm still not liking the gripe Nintendo gets across some great gaming sites and review shows, much less X-Play.
Nintendo brough video gaming only to be scorned for trying to do something different and look where it put them! Wii is selling like hotcakes because it's about damn time somebody break the mold in this generation and beyond!

Personally I think Galaxy is a great game for anyone of any age. I got a lot of fun from playing the game and I get joy that its a game my nieces can play when they are up at my house. I do not get G4 but I have seen a few episodes of X-Play and they do poke fun of a lot of games and I am assuming thats what she was doing. I have played a few Ratchet and Clank games but after I beat them I never wanted to go back. But for some reason I go back to Galaxy so I guess I am a big 27 year old kid. YAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Read this an forget about what other ppl say in regards to playing "non-mature" games:

"Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up."

That's one of the stupidest comments ever! X-Play, in my opinion, their reviews are much too harsh. I feel the same about IGN and Gamespot, as well.

That quote needs to get around the web and posted on many gaming sites as possible.

Brilliant quote. I'm going to do a sneak attack on Gamespot's System Wars forum with that quote.

I laugh at people attacking Ratchet & Clank for what she said. It's not like the developers called Mario kiddy, Final Fantasy IX character Steiner did. Just because she likes R&C doesn't mean that we have to go and attack an outright excellent game.
