Morgan Webb has previously stated that she didn't care for Super Mario Galaxy. Adam Sessler defended the game, saying he thought it was great. (They were discussing sequels at the time, and SMG 2 was brought up.)

While I don't agree with her opinion (I played the first Ratchet and Clank game, and just wasn't all that impressed; other entries may have improved on the formula, I don't know), she is entitled to it. To each his or her own. As a matter of fact, I think a better "game for everyone," if you find Mario too babyish, is the first Jak and Daxter game. While it is still family-friendly (and is definitely a Super Mario 64 clone) it doesn't have the "cute" factor like the Toads that bothers gamers who don't want to be "talked down to."

I do agree with those who would like to see difficulty settings on the Mario games. Super Mario Galaxy would be even better with a hard mode for the hardcore gamers and an easy mode for the kids and others who have a lot of trouble with the game. I've watched my children die over and over on levels that I think are almost insultingly easy, and some parts of the game are genuinely difficult--you will only defeat them if you are willing to practice and get better at them. (I still remember my 3 days stuck on Luigi's Purple Coins.)

That's a pretty stupid thing to say fan-based and logically. More logically because video games are MEANT for kids. The only reason adults play video games is because they grew up with them (and because most people are idiots and think that Master Chief is a god, but that's not the main argument).

The only thing that gives pirates a chance against ninjas is the ability to grow awesome beards. Other than that, they're completely outmatched.

I know, I know. I was upset. I said some hurtful things I didn't really mean. Although I still stand by my opinion that there's something a little off with her mouth...

Then its official! :P

One stupid comment won't make me hate X-Play though. I hate Ratchet and Clank, it came with my PS2 when I bought it.

you're right. That totally wasn't directed at me. I was just overly sensitive since I was defending a view that I knew would be under heavy fire--what a fool am I!

Regarding her comments, it's not like she was reviewing the game, made those statements and proceeded to say that's why they lowered the score it it? A quick check reveals that the show gave it a 5 out of 5 whenever they did review it and she was just expressing her own opinion of it in relation to R&C..

I like to watch X-Play for some reasons, but they are WAAAAAY to heavily biased in advantage to Microsoft and Sony.

...the only thing they ever say about Nintendo are things people already know. It's like they are behind. Calling it kiddy is just the icing on the cake.

Ratchet & Clank is for everyone, while Mario Galaxy is for KIDS?

Sure, Galaxy was so easy that even children with little skill should've been able to get through without having to play levels many times.

I used to love X-play, but once this current gen of gaming started morgan & adam seem to have abandoned the "brutally honest reviews" for "xbox gets a 4 minimum, ps3 gets a 3 min & wii gets a 2 maximum" rating system, no matter what. I've seen so many reviews they do that they slam every aspect of the game, they hate the controls, they hate the story, they hate the camera, but since it's on the 360 or ps3 it gets a good score because it has pretty graphics, then review a wii game, they won't even give it a chance simply because it's a Wii title.

1 example I can give, in a segment where she was recommending a game on each system, the talks about how there's nothing but crappy party games on the Wii, then does she recommend Metroid Prime Trilogy, or Muramasa, or even the Conduit? nope, Boom Blox, a freaking party game.

The last few years I've seen her do & say things that convinces me she is not a gamer, & is only doing this for fame & money.

Well, this is pure fail. You obviously haven't seen the show at all this gen. I want to remind you that most games get a 3/5 on all consoles.

Wii Sports Resort, 5/5
Boom Blox Bash Party, 5/5
PGA tour 10, 5/5
Rock Band 2, 5/5
Okami, 5/5
Super Smash Bros. Brawl, 5/5
Boom Blox, 5/5
No More Heroes, 5/5
Super Mario Galaxy, 5/5
Twilight Princess, 5/5
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, 5/5
A boy and his Blob, 4/5
Wii Fit Plus, 4/5
Dead Space Extraction, 4/5
Beatles Rock Band, 4/5
Little Kings Story, 4/5
Grand Slam Tennis, 4/5
Punch Out, 4/5
x-Men Origins, Wolverine, 4/5
Excitebots, 4/5
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Echoes of Time, 4/5
GH Metallica, 4/5
Madworld, 4/5
House of the Dead, Overkill, 4/5
Rayman Raving Rabbids TV party, 4/5
AC:CF, 4/5
Wario Land Shake It, 4/5
Call of Duty W@W, 4/5
Wii Fit, 4/5
Mario Kart Wii, 4/5
Bully:Scholarship edition, 4/5
Endless Ocean, 4/5
Zack and Wiki, 4/5
Metroid Prime 3, 4/5
Super Paper Mario, 4/5
Pokemon Battle Revolution 4/5
Cooking Mama Cook off, 4/5
WarioWare, Smooth Moves, 4/5
Excitetruck, 4/5
Rayman Raving Rabbids, 4/5

And that isn't even half of them. And like a said, 3/5 is average for all games on all consoles.

You can lead a fool to wisdom, but you can't make him think.

Yeah, I'm going to have to call BS on this entire post and tack it up to fanboy crying.
The last line pushed it totally over the top.
